Mahindra USA Awarded for Social Responsibility
HOUSTON, TX (July 17, 2013) – Mahindra USA, the number one selling tractor in the world based on volume, was selected as the Best Indian Company in the U.S. in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. The Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards were presented to Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. executives in Mumbai, India, earlier this month at a ceremony attended by many dignitaries including U.S. Consul General to Mumbai, Peter Haas.
“It is an honor to be selected for such a meaningful award that recognizes Mahindra’s core principle is making a difference. Our corporate decisions are based on the ‘Rise’ philospophy of accepting no limits, employing alternative thinking and driving positive change to help transform lives in communities across the world and helping people connect to the land they work, have passion for and love,” said Mani Iyer, President of Mahindra USA.
Mahindra is now the fastest growing tractor company in North America. It has gained a reputation for reliability and performance based on consistently delivering a high quality, value product. This is reflected in the 98 percent brand loyalty and 97 percent customer satisfaction ratings the company has achieved and backed up by an industry-leading five year warranty and an exclusive Mahindra Max 30-Day Guarantee.
“Mahindra is proud of our record sales and market share growth over the past several years but this award is even more important to us because it recognizes our commitment to supporting and improving the lives of our customers. Our Rise philosophy is more than words, it is a daily call to action that moves beyond the sale of a tractor,” said Cleo Franklin,
Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning, Mahindra USA. “Mahindra’s growth is fueled by our ‘Power of 3’ strategy which aligns our brand, employees and partners (which include customers, suppliers and dealers) to focus on the common goal of improving the communities where we live and work. This CSR award is a validation of Mahindra’s local, regional and national efforts to turn our beliefs into real-world initiatives and build a brand based on community-focused values.”
“We don’t want to simply sell products to people; Mahindra wants to build a long-term relationship with customers and their communities and to let them know we will be with them every step of the way,” said Franklin.
Mahindra became the number one selling tractor brand in the world in 2010 by providing consumers with value-packed, high-quality tractors. Mahindra is the only tractor manufacturer in the world to win both the Deming Application Prize and the coveted Japan Quality Medal for excellence in Total Quality Management, awarded by the Deming Prize Committee care of the Union of Japanese Scientists.
