I just got my 48 inch Kioti aerator and have a few questions.

How much weight did you add to the top, how many blocks did you add? I have a BX2200.

Do you clean the spoons after each use, if so, what do you use to clean the spoon, a screwdriver, or did you find something better?

Thanks

Tom, I'm curious about where you bought the aerator and the approximate "damage". I'm thinking about getting something like that for my lawn maintenance. TYIA

I greaee the aerator and pressure wash it but I have not been cleaning the spoons. The pressure washer seems to blow most of the soil off anyway. Over the winter I sprayed the spoons with LPS3. Mine works great and pulls nice plugs if the soil moisture is ideal. I have about 300 lbs extra in sand bags on mine. J

My 60” Aerator uses 14 blocks that I bought at Home Depot. I would guess that yours should use 10. Here is a picture of mine with 12 blocks. Click Here
I use a hose to clean mine. A power washer would work better. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Make sure you put fresh grease in fittings after washing. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

NY_Yankees_Fan,

I run the 60" with 14 blocks and clean the spoons with an old screwdriver. I find it works quickest to clean the spoons spinning them backward from the front. Don't really know that it is necessary to clean them but don't care for the dried dirt mess in the barn.

Works great,
Michael
