I picked up a new Land Pride PR1672. I haven't done that much with it yet although I've hit our 1/2 mile lane several times. I had come to the conclusion that the only hope for our lane was a lot of gravel but I'm told the School bus will just push it deeper. We also had several dips along the way, I've tried to cleaning them up with our 72" rear blade but without much success.

The power rake hooks up to the PTO, and has small tines (about 2") - Land pride gives it a 5 year warranty so I had concluded that it must be pretty tough.

Well after about 6 passes the lane is starting to look very impressive. The gravel is back, most of the dips are gone. Wow is all I can say as I have asked around to several neighbors and they have said more, more, more gravel. Without adding any gravel it looks like 2" of fresh gravel on top of everything.

I haven't played with the setting where it lets more or less material clear the machine.

We still have snow so haven't started into the fields of grass but I'm hoping I can smooth it out. I'm sure it will take some time but I think it will do better than I've done with a box blade. The last few pieces of grass that I've done I did the final couple rakings by hand. I think I need to buy a 10' roller yet, that will help filling in some of the dips on the grass.

I wished I have bought the power rake at the beginning. I did buy the landscape rake which I use rarely. I bet I will more hours on the PR each year than any other implement.

Hope everyone is well. Covid is changing the way we live, I know it is not going to be a good change. Thank goodness we have something to do on the acreage.
