B2910
Model Year: 2001
I bought my B2910 new, with a loader and box blade. I had 10, and now own 2.5 acres, in southern California and have used the tractor extensively preparing the ground for panting trees and shrubs. I bought a ripper bar for the 3-point hitch to loosen the soil in order to install sprinkler lines, and use the bucket to dig out and remove large rocks. The box blade comes in very handy leveling soil for two sheds I constructed and for terracing the yard. It is hydrostatic, and I was having a problem with the accelerator sticking, to the point that if I was going forward I would need to bump the reverse pedal to get it to stop, and visa versa going backward. I found that a cotter pin in the linkage assembly would hang up on other components, causing the linkage to stick. I turned the pin to face in the other direction, which resolved the issue. Other than that minor concern, the tractor has performed flawlessly. Maintenance is a breeze. It has more than enough power for my needs, although there are times when I want more lifting capability with the loader. I just have to lighten the load. I also bought a disk, assuming that I could use it for weed abatement. An abundance of rocks in my soil makes this impractical. I am seriously considering trading it in for a PTO-driven chipper. I now have well over 100 trees planted, and more to plant. I want to keep the chips for mulch and ground cover. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only time I stray is when I go to the dealer and see the new shiny models on the lot.
