Kubota B2910 Not Starting with Ignition Key

Hello all! I've been having trouble with my B2910, and the key is not turning the starter solenoid on. 650 hours I ran the tractor for a few hours, and then turned it off near the house to go...

B2910 Kubota
Best Major Purchase
Model Year: 2004

Our Kubota B2910 is the best investment we could have made for our property development, maintenance, and snow removal. It is reliable and economical. It is also fun but I tell my wife that it is work.

Pros: Reliability
Cons: Dealer went out of business

B2910 Kubota
Best Little Tractor I Have Ever Owned
Model Year: 2000

I have have used this for a small tractor business. l used an aerator, plow, chisel plow, and six-foot shredder (I have to keep the front-end loader on for this), box blade. post hole digger, five-foot disk, and seven-foot flail mower. I worked for other people that needed small jobs done that the big boys with the big tractors didn't want to mess with. I advertised on Craigslist and did a part-time second job and never lacked for jobs. The tractor never failed me, except that it over heated and melted the radiator cap area because I didn't keep eye on the temperature gauge. I kept up maintenance and abused the hell out of it. It is still running fine. I replaced the front tires three times. The back tires are still original. It has a five-foot belly mower that I mowed large lawns with. I bought a l3910 so I'm selling it now. I hope to get 7,000 because it runs great and has great power for what it is. Buy one. You can't go wrong. Just my two-cent opinion.

Pros: Just the right size for small spaces and small jobs
Cons: Seating area too small for six-footer weighing 250

B2910 Kubota
Great Tractor
Model Year: 2004

I have had my Kubota for 10 years and it has been a good one! It is very durable and dependable! We drive and mow a lot of tough terrain around here and it keeps up the pace. I just don't like that they didn't make a cup holder on it. it gets pretty hot mow all day and you have to get on and off the tractor for a cold glass of water or wear a fanny pack to carry it in (lol). I can't recommend you buy this tractor new because they don't make that model anymore, but if you find one with low hours and in good condition I would say, don't hesitate to buy it.

Pros: Floating deck for uneven terrain.
Cons: No cup holder.

This is a great compact tractor. It's 4 cylinder diesel. Is one tough little engine. Bought tractor to clean logging trails out of leased land (290 acres) while I was still working. We have a little over 3 acres and use it for all kind of errands. Bought front snow blower when I got tractor. Supper nice, especially when you have a cab and heater. Had trouble with hydraulics when temp. got into teens. Kept freezing up. Talked to dealer and mechanic. Recommended I drill hole in bottom hyd. cap. Couldn't see doing that. Took caps off this winter during a brief reprieve. Noticed ice build-up around spring and about 1/4" of ice in bottom of cap. That is why I couldn't use hyd. in real cold weather-teens. Filled cap with grease and didn't have any more problems. Hope this may help anyone with similar problem. Have had tractor for over 11 years and it has never failed me. Still has original battery!

Pros: HST transmission is super tough. Great overall tractor.
Cons: None.

Bought this tractor new in 2000. It has been almost flawless. Did have some problems with power steering early on. Kubota took care of it under warranty. Over the years I have add many attachment: 72MMM 6'6" Curtis snow blade. Pallet forks. Grapple bucket HD 72 rear blade 3 additional front and rear valves. Landscape Rake. Kubota weight box. LED work lights. Core aerator. T&T 8' boom pole Kubota 52" reverse tine tiller. Quick hitch for FEL Quick hitch for 3PH. With mod to put on FEL. 3PH Backhoe

Pros: Just the right size for my 4 acres.
Cons: Some projects I need a bigger tractor.

Kubota Excellence
Model Year: 1995

The Kubota B2910 I own is a reliable workhorse. I just always starts and runs well, and that's with the little care I give it. I have only one complaint: it is a little tippy with a heavy load on the FEL. I have to be careful about this.

Pros: Reliability.
Cons: High center of gravity.

Kubota: Never a Problem
Model Year: 2003

I'm sure after writing this review that my Kubota will fail! So far, I have had no serious problems with this sturdy tractor which I bought used. I built extended forks on the FEL to carry firewood. I use the rear plow to move snow and manure. The tractor always starts, even at 10º during winter out here. I would buy this tractor again. Highly recommended. I wish my dealership had not closed.

Pros: Tough, versatile, reliable.
Cons: Slow driving on roads.

Great overall tractor for someone new to tractors. Spend more time using it than learning to use it. Easy to maintain, always starts. Dealer support not the best after you buy. The PTO pump for backhoe had the hoses pointing in the wrong direction for easy hook ups. The tension on the cruise control stick was too loose to work but everything else perfect.

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Limited power for bigger implements-rear hydraulics.

Excellent little tractor. Good value for the money. There are a few little quirks that drive me crazy. The first is the bucket does not roll back far enough, the load keeps falling out. The second is that I have a cab on it and with the backhoe on it it is quite top heavy. The next is you can not go in to a bank of gravel and raise the bucket while moving forward, the HST will not let you. All in all a good machine just too tippy on the narrow frame and I wish I had bought a bigger one. In 500 hours it has not let me down once.

Pros: Good value.
Cons: Too tippy.

Great All Around Little Tractor
Model Year: 2004

I got the loader, backhoe, bush hog, and rear blade, only problems have been flat tires and a backhoe PTO that might of been installed upside down compared to others I've seen on the forums.

Pros: Does everything well.
Cons: Too small for some attachments I want/need.

Great machine, tough as nails. It is quite tippy with the cab on when you get other implements on the three point hitch. My only regret is not buying a bigger machine.

Pros: Very good on fuel.
Cons: Not enough power.

B2910 Kubota
Excellent Performance
Model Year: 2003

This B2910 Kubota runs like a champ. Starts easily even in sub zero weather, and good on diesel fuel. Front end loader carries firewood, manure and other heavy stuff. Back blade moves deep snow and scrapes manure. I wish it had higher gear for driving along the road. Mine has high, medium and low, with either 2 or 4 wheel drive. Plenty of power with 30 hp to do most jobs, including harrowing the field in the spring and fall.

Pros: Value, reliability, & versatility.
Cons: No high gear for road travel.

Flawless operation since I purchased it. Most useful attachment=ATI Grapple and front end loader. I would recommend this tractor to anyone. Only problem is the speed control lever along the right side of the seat(already lost the knob). Have the 72 inch center mower and 6 ft rear blade (Monroe).

Pros: Great reliability
Cons: None

B2910

I bought my B2910 new, with a loader and box blade. I had 10, and now own 2.5 acres, in southern California and have used the tractor extensively preparing the ground for panting trees and shrubs. I bought a ripper bar for the 3-point hitch to loosen the soil in order to install sprinkler lines, and use the bucket to dig out and remove large rocks. The box blade comes in very handy leveling soil for two sheds I constructed and for terracing the yard. It is hydrostatic, and I was having a problem with the accelerator sticking, to the point that if I was going forward I would need to bump the reverse pedal to get it to stop, and visa versa going backward. I found that a cotter pin in the linkage assembly would hang up on other components, causing the linkage to stick. I turned the pin to face in the other direction, which resolved the issue. Other than that minor concern, the tractor has performed flawlessly. Maintenance is a breeze. It has more than enough power for my needs, although there are times when I want more lifting capability with the loader. I just have to lighten the load. I also bought a disk, assuming that I could use it for weed abatement. An abundance of rocks in my soil makes this impractical. I am seriously considering trading it in for a PTO-driven chipper. I now have well over 100 trees planted, and more to plant. I want to keep the chips for mulch and ground cover. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only time I stray is when I go to the dealer and see the new shiny models on the lot.

Pros: Reliability
Cons: None

My 2910
Model Year: 2002

I traded in my 7500 for this 2910 in 2008. It had 275 hours on it when I got it. It had been used strictly as a mowing tractor. I bought a new 402 loader at the same time as the trade. The main reason for the upgrade was to get more lift capacity with the loader and also the three range transmission.... Well there is the horsepower factor also (isn't more always better) Overall I am very happy with the tractor.

Pros: Plenty of HP for the things I normally do. I am 6'8" tall and am pretty comforatable on the tractor. Absolutely love the three range trasmission.
Cons: I have had issues with the steering getting very heavy and sometimes jerky.I switched to a full synthetic hydraulic fluid and have had no trouble since. One thing I do not like is the slow dump cycle on the loader.I don't know what the reason for this might be.All of the other hydraulic functions operate fine at a seemingly normal speed.

B2910 Kubota
The smartest money I ever spent
Model Year: 2001

I bought our tractor right after we bought 23 acres of land to build our house on. I've used it for everything from dragging trees out of the woods, to prepping the yard and seeding it, mowing, moving snow, turning compost, tilling the garden, spraying weeds, rolling the lawn, hauling stuff, and many, many other tasks that would be impossible without it. One day I was hauling a 60' walnut tree out of the woods, uphill, with the parking brake on. It marched right up the hill with only minor complaints. I would buy another one if someone stole this one. That's the only reason I would have to replace it. Did I mention it was tough?

Pros: Tireless workhorse, perfectly sized for my situation.
Cons: I can't think of any.

I have had my B2810 for almost 7 years. It has been extremely reliable and performs as expected for a tractor it's size.

Pros: Easy to manuever, good cleaning snow and mowing grass.
Cons: Basically none other than wishing the rear arms would operate separatelly from the mid-mount mower.

I use this tractor for many different projects. It has preformed well. Especially for lawn cutting with a 72"MMM. The FEL has worked good. It has enough power to bend the bucket. I have since reinforced the bucket. I also have a Kubota backhoe that works well. After a few years of use I find the the heavy duty top link bracket is starting to show wear. Need to keep a good eye on this item.

Pros: Nice compact tractor with premium features
Cons: Rollbar rattles.
