L275 DT 4WD Review
Model Year: 1981
Bought used tractor with 1763 hrs in 2004. It had been used for orchard work in Kelowna, BC and always service by the Kubota dealer. Ratings based on this is an old tractor lacking many modern features. Implements: 5' finishing mower, 4' brush mower, 6' blade, front end loader with 5' bucket. Used in rough terrain for brush clearing, trail building/maintenance, driveway maintenance and firewood cutting. Tractor is tough and stable (wheels set at widest width)--great for clearing brush and maintaining steep paths. Used in winter for clearing snow (normally several 1' dumps of heavy wet snow) from a fairly steep 700' driveway. Very satisfied with this tough little tractor but hope to eventually upgrade to a modern 30-35 HP HST tractor (likely Kubota or Kioti).
Pros: tough, stable on rough terrain, lots of power
Cons: a bit hard to start, glow plugs 30 sec even in summer, 120 sec winter, but block heater can reduce that
