M9000 Kubota
Kubota M9000
Model Year: 2003

A well built tractor, no problems to date, only 400 hours or so, but almost 7 years, still on the original battery. A/C is starting to go, can no longer keep up when the outdoor temps are high. Front end loader ( made by ALO ) is on the light side for gravel, lifts a full 84" bucket load okay, but the loader arms sway if you aren't careful. 85 h.p. at the pto has been fine for running our 84" rotovator, 12' disc, 9' disc mower conditioner, large round baler, inline square baler. The cab is a little small if you need to keep things in there, pretty tough to carry a passenger, I would like more leg room, but I still use it for up to 10 hours a day in hay season, so not too bad for comfort. I would definitely buy another Kubota in this size range.

Pros: Reliability, starts well in sub zero weather
Cons: Front end loader too light, not enough in cab storage, not enough leg room

I have been pleased with this tractor for the most part. It is set up with 4wd, weights, and creeper gear. It is a simple, basic unit. Plenty of power, reliable, and no significant problems. I have, however, replaced (warrantied each time) the stabilizer bar on the lift arm. It has broken at the weld 4 times. I believe this part is undersized for the tractor.

Pros: reliable, starts readily even in very cold weather
Cons: stabilizer linkage, no parking brake indicator light

This has been a very good tractor and has given me trouble free service so far. It doesn't have many fancy features but in the same sense, it doesn't have as much to tear up or go bad. It has plenty of power to run a baler, mowing machine or a bush hog. It's nice and quiet in the cab even at high rpm's. My only complaint is the cab could be bigger.

Pros: Simple and dependable.
Cons: Small cab size.

I run this tractor with a 15ft Bushog on rough mountain terrain. It is unbeatable in handling, horsepower and pulling. A neighbor has a similar size (2hp more) John Deere, Big 9000 can clean his clock while pulling a heavier Batwing.

Pros: Power & handling.
Cons: None.

Excellent tractor - I've got all expected while obtaining it. I feel like it's a part of mine working at the open air (with no cab) on it and at the same time being safe with strong ROPS. Tractor is impressively tough and solid, simple to use, reacts well to the operating control commands, and works great with any kind of attachment. It might be lower vibration, but all in all it's a very good machine. I like this model tractor so much, that I've bought it in the USA market zone (TX) and brought through the Atlantic to my country - Lithuania. And still do not regret. I'd buy another one exactly the same tractor if it would be in production.

Pros: Not much crumbling away plastic parts comparing to present M series tractors.
Cons: Seems to be high fuel consumption.

A simple reliable tractor. However, seat is over very poor quality and failed -- we have had fuel line problems such as frozen lines but that comes with living in Canada. We had an employee who tried to destroy it in its first 3 years, broke the grill damaged fenders etc. but the machine kept going. I would buy another -- but you do need to know how to clean the fuel line or you will have trouble as earwiggs etc. love to get into the line and after a while get to the wrong spot and kill the power. This machine has never been back to the dealer for any repair.

Pros: Reliable and durable under harsh conditions.
Cons: The seat just does not stand up to our weather and the PTO wiring harness is a Mickie Mouse contraption.

Very reliable. Had a few rattles when new but I chased them down, roll cage and muffler fasteners. Runs smooth with good torque. Paint held up well but the few colored plastic pieces have faded. ALO front end loader has been good, but dual action is slow and control cables needed re-lubing when got sticky. QD bucket works well.

Pros: Reliable, smooth.
Cons: Could use a faster road gear.

Purchased this tractor used in early 2009 from PA contractor. Well worth the cost and effort to drive from far West Texas to 30 miles from New Jersey on I80 to get the beast. First time with a 4WD and A/C Cab tractor. Lots of power, extreme pulling and pushing power, especially with front assist. Lots of rocks, mesquite and cactus here so put mounted 14 ply front and 12 ply rear tires. Has a Kubota LA1251 loader with an 84 inch bucket and a double forked bale spear. Easily handles 1900lb+ 4'x4'x8' bales and bundles of 30 small square bales of alfalfa. Any size round bales are a cinch. Don't have a crawler at this ranch, so use this to remove trees, build tanks (ponds) etc. Have dug down 6' from level pulling ripper and then moving dirt with the bucket. This tractor has more power and a lot quieter than older Ford and John Deere tractors. The cab makes a big difference, allows for more lights, making night work easy.

Pros: 4WD adds pulling power, creep speed, well lit at night, lots of power.
Cons: AC underpowered had to add a Fan-Tastic Vent, Cat 1 pin on 3 pt upper link.
