Kommander Zero Turn Mower Review
Model Year: 2013
I purchased a 2013 Kubota Kommander zero turn mower. After purchase and before delivery, they had recalls and wouldn't deliver until it was repaired. I order a bagger kit which was installed by dealer. Still, to this date, the unit will pick up little if any grass as it continues to clog in the shoot. You clean out the shoot and it just gets clogged again. I added high lift blades and had no luck. The dealer has looked at it along with the manufacture. It is just poor design (don't buy the bagger option). This unit has been into the shop going on its fifth time in last 24 months. Electrical issues, unit cuts out and dies, have already been repaired once with a new coil but the unit is going back in since it starts then dies after 5 minutes. It has plenty of fuel. When you spend over $6000 on a mower, it should run, cut grass, and bag. I have a self propelled Toro mower for under $400. That cuts and bags perfectly with no issues.Don't buy Kubota zero turn mowers unless you like dealing with the service department on a regular bases. I am using neighbors John Deere riding mower to cut my lawn as Kubota does not offer loaners while mine is in shop. Its been in the shop a total of 3 month over the last 24 months.
Pros: Heavy duty deck
Cons: Won't bag, the shoot clogs and the engine dies, always in the shop
