I looked through my files to see the weight of the beam, but I can't find it. I knew I needed a piece of equipment to get the beam off the truck, so I actually read the manual to see what the load capacity of the bucket was. The beam was beyond that, but after many hours on the BX, I was thinking that it would hold it. It easily held the beam up and lowered it slowly and in control. To install the beam I rented a forklift from the local rent-all. The forklift was a piece of junk and I had to pull it up the hill with the BX. I bought the BX to help build the house and it was and is indispensable. I buried the utilities and water lines with it, pulled up old concrete and lots of projects that I would not have got done without the BX. The big beam is 48 feet long.
