Convert snowblower to power broom?

I am toying with the idea of using my old snowblower housing (single stage off a 318) to mount a rotary broom to the front of my 318. New to this site. Does anyone have any suggestions/experience or am I way off in my vision? Any help would be appreciated!

If you can get a broom that will fit it should work. One problem might be finding a way to angle it. Most brooms are made to sweep to the side.
Whether it works or not pictures are always good.

Try sweepster or Elgin for you broom blanks. I have an 85 HP Selfpropelled road broom I bought at a sale to maintain a lot at work. I buy my blanks though them they have a drum made from 4 peices of flat bar about an inch wide. each blank is about 2 inches thick and you slid them on.

No. Just be sure to leave the second stage of the blower and the chute in tact. Then he wouldn't have to worry about the angle of the broom.

Honestly, though, I'm interested in this thread. I'd like to get a broom too, but the cost of buying one is hard for me to justify.
