Picked up my tractor on the way to hunting lease last Thursday and I had it stuck by noon Saturday.I got in to a small area of high ground (surrounded by swamp) where I mowed between a few white oaks to put up a bow stand. On the way out the bush hog was dragging a little and I bogged down. The guy I bought the tractor from had the three point mounted in the lowest position where it wouldn't raise very high off the ground. We didn't want to risk getting the truck stuck too, so here is how we got it out.I moved the linkage to the top hole, then disconnected the top link and used a big ratchet strap around the rops to lift the bush hog a little.Went to town and after seven stops and about 40 miles we found a high lift jack.(Most people we asked didn't know what a high lift jack was).I can tell you it is worth every bit of the 80 bucks I paid for it.Any way to make a long story longer we cut some 4x4 post and used the jack to get them under the front tires then used the jack to winch the tractor out.See pics below.
The tractor is 4wd drive but the tires don't have a lot of traction. The last pic is tractor safely back at camp and cleaned up.I am working on a bumper and grill guard for it.Will post pics later.
