It was like pulling teeth, really.

I was interested in a Kioti rotary mower, midwest makes it for them, and wanted to find out more about midwest since I knew they made boxblades, landscape rakes, and discs. Their website is different from last week and none of the links work. There was nobody there who could help me I was told to email them at their hotmail account. They couldn't even provide me with a single individual to answer my questions. The only answer was that they got bought by ITG. It's a real shame since their looking at the potential of 4 items.

So here goes. Does anyone know of a internet based company that sells their products?

Not sure about what other products they make for whom, but I have a Frontier rotary cutter that was made by them.

I bought the heaviest rear blade that they make and was told that it would hold up to my tractor. Now I have to say that the blade did seem to be of pretty good quality for what I would call a middle of the road quality implement. Well I bent it the first time that I used it, straightened that out myself, then bent it again in a different place. Showed pictures of the bent areas to the dealer and asked them to ask Midwest what they would do about it. Answer was that I abused it and abuse would not be covered under any warranty. So I guess that if you plan on using your implement, you can forget about any type of warranty.

Now I want to be clear about this. The implement was good for what I paid, I think that somebody overrated that particular implement and that it really should not be used on anything that is big enough to have a cat 2 3ph. Oh, this rear blade came with combo cat1-2 enclosed pins. The hitch has not been a problem, there are other design flaws for an implement of that size.

ITG filed for Bankruptcy protection. George Jenkins purchased Midwest Fab after Jim Ozee died in a mud-bogger accident. We are find out the ITG was owned by George and Oran Logan. ITG did supply many of the Alamo Group's gearboxes. There could be some replacement parts issues concerning John Deere/Frontier, Rhino and other Alamo cutters with ITG gearboxes.

Thanks for the update CCI. Just to be clear, ITG purchased Midwest?

Has Midwest shut down? I'm researching a used Midwest Finish Mower and can't find any company information.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks Paul!

It would be nice if there was at least some form of internet searchable information on their products and company. It does not build much consumer confidence when you can't find information about a product or company.
