I finally got a coat of paint on the land plane project. I've been using it for a couple of months while made some minor changes. I had to lower the 3 point connections for a more stable action.
My original design included the quick adjust cutters. The front cutter varies from a 3/4" cut to 1/2" smooth. The rear from +1/2 " to -1/2". I adjust them to the negative angle for my final passes and it leaves the surface smoother than a baby's (well you know). It takes about 30 seconds to adjust.
It's about 6' wide and weighs in at about 700 lbs loaded. The B7800 pulls it just fine.
Just about all the steel except the 5x5x3/8" cutters was surplus.
