tire keeps going flat

:(Add me to the list of BX2660 owners. It was bought in May of 2009 and the right front QTR Grass Master Turf Type leaks slowly year around with and without using the FEL. The other three hold air properly. I increase the front psi when using the FEL per operator manual. So far I haven't done anything except monitor all the tires more closely. This is the pits on a brand new machine. No wonder there was 40psi in that tire when the BX was delivered from the dealer. The dealer guy probably got tired of filling it up on the lot.

My dealer Davis Farm Supply replaced my tire and wheel twice for no cost, so you might want to contact your dealer. I sis not want to go with tube.

Just an update on my BX2660 with my two front R4's constantly going flat. At the advice of my local Kubota rep, he said to have the front's tubed. My local dealer couldnt do it but the tire place next door could, and they would pick up the cost.

Well thats what I did. Cost me $40 that I still havent been reimbursed for. The tubes lasted about 4 days when I noticed one was completely flat. Nothing I could do at home to fix it. I called the place that did the tube work and he said they had to put oversized tubes in it because they didnt have the correct tube size for my fronts. Im thinking to myself you goddamm idiot! Ofcourse it went flat, it probably pinched itself and blew up. That pissed me off, so I went to a friend of mines small engine repair shop. Brought the tires in, he ripped the crappy tubes out and remounted them the way they came from the factory. So far, after 2 weeks, still holding air fine. $20 bucks.

I would advise using against tubes simply because if and when it goes flat, your dead in the water. At least with out the tubes, you can makeshift something to get by.

Tubes were the first "solution" my dealer tried with the same results as you.

That is too bad. One front tire on my B7800 (bought used) always leaked. After replacing the rim and several attempts to fix the leak I had a tube put in. It is still holding air a year later. Knock wood.

Heh...

Didn't realise this was such a problem. Same thing here. Front left tire. Went flat TWICE in the last couple of years. Third time was last summer, when I decided to get a tube put in :( !

Doing some loader work yesterday and noticed the handling sucked. Looked down and sure enough I'm driving on a flat left tire again!!! After I counted to 10, and prayed I hadn't toasted the sidewalls I popped both tires off and took them to the local tire center.

There they sit now waiting to get filled with foam. 100 bucks per, but now I'll never have to worry about flats again!! :D

Just wish I could justify the rears, but I'm guessing that the cost would be insane...and I haven't had problems with those yet!

I had one that aways went down as well, and on hill sides here in the NE, it can be evident pretty quick. Also tried the slime on my tubeless rims with no luck. After looking over the rear tire, I saw the previous owner had tried to plug it with the rope type plug. Problem was, it was right where the tire rolled up on the sidewall.
I had one of these mushroom plug kits on my motorcycle, and gave it a shot. All the tools are included in the kit (press tool as well)and it comes with about 15 plugs. Best of all no tire removal....that was 3 years ago and no more leaks. I think it runs around 35.00

Many many threads on this...
I had the problem on the front left of my new BX2660. Every week I had to fill it. Took it once to a tire shop, they cleaned the rim, and rebeaded it. Didn't last. Finally put a tube in it and it has lasted all summer without the need to add air. Hopefully on my property I won't puncture it because then a fix is much more difficult than a tubeless. The other front is still tubeless and working great.

Well, the other front is still tubeless but no longer "working great". If idle for more than a week, I routinely power on the air tank before checking the pressure, knowing full well that it'll be down to 15 or below. Just been too lazy to pull the wheel and get a tube put in it.

The tubed tire has not needed air for almost a full year.
