Fair price for Sitrex sickle?

Found a ~4 yr old Sitrex 6' sickle mower with hydraulic lift for $900. Paint is beginning to peel on some pieces. Little gaurd/warning aid at the tip is gone.

Good deal at $900?
New looks like ~$4,000 +

Check the sickle sections and the guards for wear. If those need replacing, figure several hundred bucks for parts. If the hydraulic ram is OK, I'd consider it at $900 and try to deal down to $750 or so. Last year I bought 20-30 year old 7-ft Massey Ferguson MF-41 sicklebar at auction for $550 and spent about $200 fixing it up.

That is a fair price on the Sitrex used mower, if it not cobbled up? Parts availability should be checked out before making the purchase. They are never was as many of those sold as the Superior. We sell the new Superior #394 7 ft with Hydraulic Cyl for $3795. Ken Sweet
