M5700 not throttling down

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. When I raise my rpm's up with either the foot throttle when I try to go back to idle or a lower rpms it drops a few 100 rpms but doesnt go all the way back. I can reach around to where the hand and foot throttle meet, push one of the parts there up and it goes to where its suppossed to and stays. I adjusted the linkage on the foot pedal thinking it wasnt allowing it to go back to idle position that didnt help. I have sprayed the outside of the assembly with oil to see if it might be a lubrication issue. I thought about taking the bolt that hold the assembly together but its a has a lock nut on it. I was wondering also if there was suppossed to be an external spring on the injector pump to pull it back. I cant remember seeing one on there but its been a while since I've looked.

I believe there will be a return spring on the foot petal but not on the hand throttle lever.
Wherever you set the hand lever, that will be the lowest the RPM will drop when you take your foot off the foot petal....

Spring ONLY returns the foot linkage... the actual throttle rod is set able using the hand operated throttle leaver. ... that must be manually returned to idle . KennyV

I know the hand lever controls the lower limit rpms. When you pull the hand lever down the rpm's dont drop.

I am having the same issue right now and was curious to see if you ever were able to get this fixed and what was the ultimate cause.
