Pretty neat. Bit small for the 3ft diameter fir that I have. ;)

So now you got the kindling, where's the fire wood?

That's just about the best size for my stove :) Looks like it may be limited to 8" or so diameter? Never saw a processor that scissors off the wood - at least I think that is what I saw. All in all, it may be just the right thing for some. I couldn't watch the entire thing, it was taking forever to download, but I wonder if it is limited to fairly soft wood? What I watched looked like a variety of birch.

Its a euro thing. They use a heavy blade/flywheel to shear off the logs. several companies make them. Ive seen a few videos that show the shearing action a little better, ill see if i can find them on youtube :)

I think youd be rather limited in size and type of wood you can use compared to a processor with a chain saw:thumbsup:

Thanks Jason. The first link video was 'edited' unfortunately when he put a decent sized log in it that looked fairly solid. Maybe it didn't handle that one too well.

For small wood, it would a lot cheaper, faster and way less maintenance than the chainsaw type.
