Critters captured on camera

Turkeys in the driveway. I finally found a painless (less time consuming) way to resize (640x480) these Reconyx game cam photos. We can only get dial-up service here so that you understand how important that is to those of us that have to wait F O R E V E R to view a HUGE un-resized posted photo. Because of that, I keep a strong magnifying glass by the computer to aviod the wait, it's that bad:mad:..... Rant over:eek:, enjoy the turkeys.

Turkeys in the driveway.

Oh my! I think you probably have some happy cougars and bobcats in the area too. With all those turkeys, the wild cat population must have feathers in their mouths. I suspect your fox feasts on eggs and poults too.

And now for something a bit different. :)There was a small pod (5 or 6) of Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins in the local river for the past week. They follow the fish in on the tide, corrall them up, and then blast in at full speed, making their catch. They leave the water, and make an impressive wake, making them fun to watch. The seagull population watches for where they attack, and pick up the spoils.

LE deer unit in Utah...........

WOW, that sure looks like a book deer. Got to be 190 with very minimal deductions!!!! What do you think he scored and how wide do you think he is?

Just an amazing buck. Thanks for sharing.

Did you say bobcat? In the last couple of months there have been two photographed in the upper driveway. The first one was out on the edge of the flash but this guy just sauntered through and never turned around.

Not sure what he would score....he's about 26" wide or so....

average buck for this area.....would get passed by from hunters.....

unless the last day or so.........but he sure is purty....and safe....

hunts are all over...rut is on...his only worry would be a hungry cat....:licking:

Ian, I used to go topside aboard ship and watch schools of dolphins play in the ship's wake when I was in the US Navy, but I never saw white-sided dolphins like those. They really look more liks small orcas than dolphins to me. Of course, to the fish, they just look like big hungry mouths full of teeth.

The Orca has a much larger dorsal fin. Here is a comparison.

1 and 4 are White sided dolphins

Yer right, J.J., there are orcas off the coast, but these are definitely white-sided dolphins. But they are big - the size of 2 men. Another pic from today

Ian, that is a brilliant photo of the dolphin!
