Tractor
2007 JD 3720
A neighbor is looking to buy a tractor about my size, I have a 3720. He wants a loader, backhoe and 6 foot finish mower. He has a quote from Kubota on the L3800 at about $26,000. I am confused on what backhoe I should configure for the 3320.

Even taking 15% off (which is what I got when I bought my 3720 in 2007) the JD is about $ 4,000 more. Does this sound right? Is the L3800 a fare tractor to compare the 3320 to?

Also, the old website would let you compare other tractors, I don't see that feature anymore. It was really handy.

Also, I got my paper work out and the 3720 has gone up over $3,000 since 2007, seems like quite an increase.

Any input on the L3800 would be great.....I do not know that much about the Kubota line.

Thanks
bob

3038E would compare with the L3800 as per kubota's comparison... (L3800 has a jerky 3ph ;) that your friend should test out)

I agree with dfkrug above, the Kubota L3240 is closer to JD 3320 for comparison.
WOW, I didn't realize JD 3720 price have gone up that much since 2007 --- abut 10%.

Where can I find the comparison chart on the 3240 vs the 3320? What are the big differences between the 3038E and the 3320? I know he wants HST.

Thanks
Bob

Does the 3038E have a backhoe available? I could not find one when I configured it on the JD website.

no backhoe available for the 3032/3038e tractors, you have to get the xx20's to get a hoe

The kubota is a very fine tractor if he can live without some of the bells and whistles and deal with the hitch. It is a quick way to save some cash since JD doesnt offer the hoe on the economy line.

But IF the bells and whistles are what he is after, I agree with others that you need to compair to the L3240 or L3540.

And it looks like the 3320 deere falls right in the middle between the 3240 and 3800.

The deere 3320 is about 300 lbs heavier and has about 500lbs more lift capacity on the FEL and 3ph vs the 3800.

But the 3240 is about 500lbs heavier and has more lift capacity front and rear than teh 3320.

The BH's, on paper appear to be about the same for all the models.

I'd expect the price of the 3240 to be closer to that of the 3320. But I think right now, he needs to decide if a "deluxe" model is worth the extra $4k
