I have a Shelter Logic round roof soft sided shed that the 2yr old cover had the seam on the peak fail last winter. Seam did not rip, seam came unglued (don't know if they use glue or heat). Just installed a brand new replacement cover yesterday, and the seam for one of the hold down pipes failed within an hour of having this thing built. There is absolutely no stress on the cover or seams at all. This is the last time I go with a soft sided shed. Menard's and others have metal buildings/carports that would be much stronger (although an additional amount of money). I will be calling the company (ShelterLogic) today or tomorrow to see what they will do for me. The Warranty is for one year on Manufacturing/workmanship. This should be covered but do not want another cover, would rather have my money back. I'm too old to keep shuffling around on my knees putting these things together.
Next shed will be delivered and set up by a young guy or gal. When their done I will hand them a beer and pat them on the back for a job well done.

All kinds of them all over around here, never heard of one failing except in a windstorm or snow overload (collapse)

The fabric seems tough enough but the seams appear to have not had enough glue or heat applied. The material was not in the least welded/melted/glued very well.
I will get my son-in-law to take some pictures when he gets home from work and add them to this thread so everyone knows what I'm talking about.

Like anything, you get what you pay for.

Case in point, I have a Clearspan truss arch building, 100 feet long x 43 feet wide x 16 feet high, one end closed the other with a 13 foot rool up overhead door.

Clearspan has a 15 year guarantee on their covers. I've had the building up for 5 years now and the cover is just like new and it's withstood wind storms, hail, heavy snow and blistering sun.

You buy box store/Northen Hydraulics cheap, you get what you pay for.

Clearspan is the best investment in outdoor building (per square feet) that I ever made, no exceptions.

Hint, they do make little ones with the same warranty.......

Check into their cover options. They have different grades of covers with different warranties. I have had both, and had good luck. The heavier covers are made of a thicker material and hold up better.

When I bought this replacement cover they told me I could not upgrade. No reason why. My Daughter took pictures last night. Will send them in to see what they say. The seam was so poorly attached you wouldn't believe it. In years that I'm poor,,,, I string a rope between two trees and hang a large tarp. Works fine, sheds snow well and has great ventelation.

I have 3 shelter logics. One had premature failure of the fabric due to bad UV protection. Called the company, they asked for a photo, and they sent us a new cover free of charge the same day. Can't imagine what the shipping cost them. Our oldest tent is now 5 years old and although it's clearly worn, it functions fine. We have the 14x20 model, I paid $250 for the first one, about $400 the last time I bought one. They're the best investment I've ever made for the money. We keep hay in one, tractor and accessories in another, and junk in the third.
