Kobota BX25
My bx25 was running great, up until I got off today. When I got off the motor cut out. I tried re starting and it would not crank. I jiggled the PTO lever and it started and ran for a while. Now the motor just cranks and it will not start. Any suggestions?

Check your fuses. The fuel shutdown solenoid uses a holding voltage to hold it open.

You shouldn't have to jiggle the pto lever to start it, sounds like the safety switch has worked loose.

Good luck

I agree...Sounds like a safety of some sort...

Check PTO lever to make sure it's not engaging safety switch because it's sensing like PTO is engaged and will not start , look carefully.

If it is the newer D902 engine the solenoid only has a single coil for engine kill, nothing for hold open.

+1 on this. Very common. The switch may need some adjustment.

If it cranks but does not start, I would think it was possibly a fuse like said earlier. A safety switch not being made would not allow it to crank.

You still could have a fuel supply issue.

Agree...look more closely at fuel system, especially fuel pump. As for jiggling PTO...most of us have/had that off-and-on...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I ended up adjusting the PTO sensor as the screws were loose. Also, I changed the fuel filters then checked all fuses and they were fine. Gave it a little throttle and turned the key and it started right up and worked great all day today. Ran for about 7 hours. Thanks again......
