Hi Just wondered if any of you have installed the hardline kit to bring plugs for the scv on the rear of the 3720 to the front where the other loader plugs are. The labor quote I got from John deere was really high and I found out JD gives there tecs about 1.5 hours to do the job. Anyone have the experience or some pictures of this kit installed?

Thanks
David

I did it on my 4120 / 400X loader. Basically the same kit as for yours.

Directions that came with it were good. I didn't run into any problems. Have a good handful of extra big black wire ties is the only thing I can think of you might want to have.

Took a couple of hours, I had a three year old helper so most stuff takes me a little longer.

Nothing hard about it really. Just take your time and kind of dry fit as you go before you tighten down to avoid any rub points. No special tools needed or anything, I'd take it on if I were you.

Hey this looks great, so the rear scv plugs still stay as plugs but you plug into them and then the lines have a connetor that connects them into hardline?

Thanks for the pictures awsome, I am going to order this kit shortly.

May not be a Deere but I made my own hardline kit for my Bobcat CT235, i made all my steel lines with hoses, very simple. I just put a T off the hose where it comes out of the valve with a ball valve and leaves the rear outlets free, and if I have a grapple on front and hydraulic attachment on back I turn the valve to shut the front off and use the back.

Its relatively easy. I've done it on my 3320 (open) and 4720 cab. Just take your time, study the parts- the only thing that is close to being tricky is fitting the tubing sections on the front loader arm-they kind of "nestle" into the right spot. You could probably save a few bucks and just buy hydraulic hose made up to the right lengths with two pairs of quick connects but the 300 bucks for the kit insures you have all the right stuff.

I have the same question so this is very useful and helpful.

Now to expand the question, what do either of you use the front 3rd function for and does the control for the 3rd function come with the kit? What else do I need to consider? My initial use will be for a grapple then a snow blade angle kit.

Thanks all.

That's an easy installation. If I can install a PB, and 3 - 5 SCV kits myself, then you should be able to do this. Just take your time, read the instructions, and keep dirt out of the system. I blew air through the lines before installing them to make sure no residual manufacturing crud was in there. Prior to installing these kits, I never touched a hydraulic system in my life.

I'm pretty sure this kit only comes with lines to connect to your preexisting 3rd service. So you would need to buy the 3rd service kit as well, which comes with the control lever. If you rarely plan on using service in the rear (not sure if you are talking snow blade in front or rear), or you want to be able to control your service from your loader joystick, you might want to consider an electric over hydraulic 3rd function. W.R. Long third function valve kit comes to mind...

If you need up close photos let me know, I'd be happy to provide. Sometimes a picture says 1000 words. :)

DP Property, same for you. I realize yours is for a 300cx but I'm guessing the install is pretty close to the 400x install.

Yea I already have two very long lines running from the back to the snow plow in the front- I don't like it this way I want the hardlines.
The 3rd control is factory installed when you get the secondary scv installed at the factory they put the different loader control in the op station with the keypad buttons in the handle to control the 3rd function for whatever you desire.
