The clamp on forks do work but from what others have mentioned, you probably couldn't use them to the full capacity of you fel lift without putting a little twist to your bucket cutting edge. If you were just needeing them for lighter stuff, then they do save money.

Congrats on the new tractor. I did't realize there were any driveways 1000' long in Detriot Some articles I have read about the city it sounds like they are converting alot of the abandonded lots back to farm land. Maybe you can hire out yourself and your new toy:thumbsup:

LOL, well I work in the city, but commute from about 35 miles north of it; you couldn't pay me enough to live there.

Thanks for the input on the clamp on forks... I'd be using them to haul trees/logs, so maybe they wouldn't be the best idea. I don't know how to weld yet, but I'm planning to learn soon; the forks can be one of my first projects :tu:

don't worry about the box blade !
I have a 72' inches Walco .... and have no problems pulling , you'll have to pull in low gear .

Anyhow , even with a 48 inches , you'd have to pull in low gear

I have done lots , and lots of grading with mine 500 hours + , without problems

Another question: can I add a larger bucket, or are we stuck with what came on the tractor.

And, I'll apologize in advance for any dumb newb questions; this is my first tractor and I'm still learning!

Congrats! with a thousand pound lift I am not sure you could benefit from a larger bucket, but yes you can have any bucket fitted to your FEL with a little bit of welding. The brackets just have to be the same to fit the loader.
As for forks, I don't care for the clamp-on's. Next time you are in the city, see if you can find a place that sells forklifts. Stop by and ask how much they would want for a used pair of forks(osha makes them scrap them when they get too thin). I got a couple of sets for free that way, but I did flip the guy enough for a few good lunches. It looks like between you and your neighbor there has to be a welder. Weld a 2x2 angle iron across the top of the bucket. Then weld a couple of bracket on the back of the forks so you can "hook them" on the angle iron. This is where a toothbar is nice, the lower part of the fork can fit between the teeth so they can't move. While your at it weld a couple of chain hooks up there on the angle iron...they come in handy. Then go 'a forkin'

Congrats on your new rig, I have almost the same setup only I have a 60"" box blade on mine (1200') driveway, I have had mine for around a year now. I absolutely love it, if I had it to do over again I wouldn't change a thing.You will wonder how you ever lived without it.............Craig

Congratulations on your new tractor. I have an 03 CK 20 gear and it is a little brute. I would leave the factory bucket on it for a while if I were you and get used to it while you are getting used to your tractor. I know if I fill my bucket full of Florida dirt (sand) and travel with it, it is a pretty good load even with my 60" 450lb box blade on the back.

Just be careful with the wide box blade as ballast. If you are using the bucket in a pen or another tight place as you get close to the edge with your bucket your box blade will hit. Trust me I know this to be true :laughing:

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm going to look into a tooth-bar soon. So far I'm lovin' this little tractor. Used it a bunch today to help cut-down and push down trees (in the direction I wanted them to fall) and help with the cleanup. Also used it do dig about 5 buckets worth of field-stone out of my ground. Pretty sweet little surprise; every time I dug deeper to loosen up a stone, I uncovered more!

Current promotion is a free loader (with cash, or your own private financing). Otherwise, you can do 0% financing from Kioti, but you pay for the loader.

Price: $13,900 minus $2137 (loader cost) = $11,763. Total with 6% Mich tax came to $12,648. The dealer's profit-margin was $1000 over cost, plus a $200 setup fee. So, basically the dealer bought the tractor from Kioti for $10,563... plus the loader, which was a dealer rebate for $2137.
