That's an easy installation. If I can install a PB, and 3 - 5 SCV kits myself, then you should be able to do this. Just take your time, read the instructions, and keep dirt out of the system. I blew air through the lines before installing them to make sure no residual manufacturing crud was in there. Prior to installing these kits, I never touched a hydraulic system in my life.

Sounds good John Deere says 1.5 hrs labor for there tecs is a rule of thumb so if they get 1.5 hrs I am sure I can do it in 3 :D

That sounds right for me too, time wise. I like to take my time and do it right once.

Hi Just wondered if any of you have installed the hardline kit to bring plugs for the scv on the rear of the 3720 to the front where the other loader plugs are. The labor quote I got from John deere was really high and I found out JD gives there tecs about 1.5 hours to do the job. Anyone have the experience or some pictures of this kit installed?

Thanks
David

DP - I presume you purchased the kit and did the install. How did it go and anything that you would do differently? Just picked up my kit and will install next chance I get.

Thanks.

Related question: I am getting ready to do the same install on my open cab 4520 and as I am carefully walking through the steps, it looks pretty straight forward. My question is removing the right rear fender. Is it possible to remove the right rear fender without removing the right rear tire? I have R4 tires. Not much clearance on at least 2 bolts.

Remove the tire and fender, it will make your life easier installing the kit(s).

I did it without removing tire or fender and had no problems and don't see where removing either would have made it any easier or faster.

As lazy as I am, I stand behind my decision to follow Deere's instructions and remove the fender and tire.

That is a true statement but with my 4720 and R-4's you CANNOT remove the fender with the tire on due to bolt location and clearances from the tire. It may be different if the tires are at the widest stance there may be enough room but if they are at the medium position the tire comes off before the fender comes off due to spacing. My dealer told me they always remove the tire as it is much easier. When I did mine I removed the tire, fender and the seat pan. Very doable job just do not let the tire fall over if it is filled, keep it upright and be careful.
