One brake for both rear wheels as do all of the BX model.

One brake pedal (not split brakes) is pretty common for all sub compact tractors (SCUT). In fact I can't think of any that have split brakes.

The mahindra max 25 does but they are placed right above the gas pedal which I don't understand how or when u would use them....I understand how u could make the tractor pivot if the break were on the opposite side of the hst pedal but it's not...is there a reason they are all3 on the same side?

The brakes are on the right for safety reasons. You brake with your right foot when driving your car so the use of your right foot is automatic. Braking with your left foot requires a thought process and is not instinctive. The slight delay in hitting the brake in an emergency can be dangerous.

Can u give me an example of when or how u would utilize the two breaks? If it were for a better turning radius while plowing or something, I get that...just don't know why they would have split breaks if u cant use them for Thai

Unless you drive with two feet.

I can use the split brakes on my L5740 by using the cruise control to go forward. My son just uses his left foot on the brakes and some can apply the HST pedal and brakes at the same time.

Split brakes are used for sharper turns, to manage traction when one wheel is slipping in lieu of locking the rear differential and to steer in low traction situations such as snow plowing or back dragging with pressure on the FEL.

I personally rarely use mine, but as the result of another thread have tried all of the above.

What is the purpose of having split breaks on the same side as the go pedal? It sure isn't safe to have both legs on one side.

As for the bx's, that brake is considered and called a parking break in the owners manual.
