I have met many people with more letters after their name that had NO common sense and had no idea how to turn a screw driver to tighten a screw. We used to have a saying at the airport "Just because you have a pilot's license does not mean your intelligent ! " I have seen 4 pilot's die because they had no common sense when they were flying and relied on the gauges rather than the situation they were in . 1 tried to rebuild a NON-REBUILDABLE rivited together fuel pump and killed himself and the co pilot another flew into a storm at the end of the runway and decreased his speed and when they punched thru the storm he was low and slow the plane stalled and they drove it straight to the ground 300 ft trying to recover 200 feet from the end of the runway ! 2 died 1 severely burnt and lost both legs , if either of these very experienced pilots had used a little common sense they would still be alive today they were in a hurry to land and make it to HAPPY HOUR at the local pub !. There are many book smart people who have no hands on knowledge of how things really work and these are usually the people who are judgemental of others , I know many very successful business men who have never been to any college !

i'd almost set that one aside.

if a man built it.. it can be rebuilt. IF done correctly...

I can't tell you how many 'non rebuildable', 'no user serviceable parts inside' / 'hermetrically sealed ' assy's I've remanned.

Mind you none of them are parts of things that 'fly', but many were parts that scoot you downt he blacktop at high speed.

'jericho-ing' imho is gonna be a hard deal... a group could souround you.. or use explosives on you...

IMHO.. best bet is to look inconspicous.. look looted out and burned.

maybee have a rural acerage in the sticks with a container burried.. and have it inhospitable for squatters.. etc..
