Its a big purchase, I done the same thing, cause I wonted to get it right. Bale handling both will do,if its the big 5x6 bales would load the rear so don't have to run any rear ballast or wheel weights witch ever you prefer. What kinda baling you thinking about? I run a 5x4 round baler and 8ft cutter, went cheap with a 8wheel rake(mistake).

I'll be honest I don't know yet. I don't know if I'll let someone else handle it or if I'll decide to do it. But I would like a tractor that would grow with me a little.

Have you priced a NH T4.85? Wouldn't it be a more comparable tractor? Just a thought, or make your decision harder.

I'm sure that would just make it harder lol. But the price they want for this 4.75, I imagine the 4.85 would be more expensive than the 8560.

I came out of a JD & into my "Orange tractor" because of a favorable trade in deal. I do love that green color but I respect that the Kubota tractors are thoroughtly Kubota components. I may be wrong but I haven't heard otherwise and for some reason that is comforting (to me) to know that the name on the machine actually represents the whole tractor and not various unknown suppliers of various components.
Now I'm waiting for someone to bust my bubble!

If you have a reliable baler would use them its a chore:laughing:. If your going to pick up more acreage,I think would go with the larger tractor.I mean it cost a lot less to do it right the first time,I found that out the hard way. The 70hp is plenty for 100acres,I do it no problem. I run two cause lease places and the hay baling. I bale and feed around 160bales,more if could get the rain.
Rustyiron- I have put my Kubotas threw a lot and they have never let me down

I "think" I'm leaning towards the M8560. It really is a nice tractor. This could change by tomorrow though lol

Is 15% off about normal? I've read that 15% is a good deal and 18% is a really good deal. My dealers seem to be around 10% off and that's it.

I'm new here and trying to buy my first tractor. I recently purchased 98 acres and am in need of a larger tractor. I have three local dealers JD, NH and Kubota. I ruled out the John Deere 5085e because it was almost 3k more than the 8560 evenly equipped. I know this isn't exactly apples to apples as the 8560 is 85hp vs 75hp for the 4.75. But the price is about $1200 difference with the Kubota being the more expensive. I like them both a lot but am having trouble making up my mind. I plan on pulling a 12' batwing and doing some tilling and moving bales around. I possibly could get into light hay work down the road but that is still up in the air. I'm just mainly looking for a good all around tractor. Both of these are with cab and loaders. Can anyone maybe give me some pros and cons of each that I may be overlooking? Thank you in advance.

You can still buy a Tier III T4.75 from dealer stock and avoid the Tier IV nonsense while saving a ton of cash. I do not believe that any Tier III 8540s remain.

The 4.75 I got the quote on was a tier 3, according to the dealer. I actually just found a good price on a kubota 9960. I don't need that big but it would be nice. Oh decisions decisions
