Arguing is good, that's one important aspect of Internet fora. I would say that "getting something done" to many Mac users amounts to pushing one button and seeing what the computer provides for you. If what you are looking for doesn't appear, you're stuck. My advice to the OP is to stay current, don't live in the past. Computer technology waits for no one. My brother is not provided the tools to solve computer issues, either by his hardware or software and by virtue of those, his experience. Apple computers are not and never have been free from glitches. I'm typing this on my iPad, it has shortcomings just like my Kindle Fire HD and everything else. The latest IOS 7 just rendered all my subscribed magazines useless. My first machine was a TRS-80. I have managed computer service centers and have worked as an engineer at Intel for twelve years so the number of machines that have been in my care vastly outnumber what most individuals have experienced, I suspect. I am not using that exposure to bolster my case, however. I'm just using simple logic and observation.
For someone that is supposed to be an engineer you have some very poor observation skills and come to poor conclusions.
1. You magazine subscriptions that were rendered useless. It is not up to apple to update someone's app they need to update it to work with iOS 7.
2. I don't believe for one second that you see so many instances where a Mac can't do something. I have been using macs for over 5 years and I have never ran into an issue I can't resolve. It make take a program or a setting change but I would say their is very very few things a PC can do a Mac can't.
3. From a separate post of yours name some stuff Mac has that PC don't. How about the track pad on a Mac it is so much more advanced than any mouse pad in any PC laptop I've seen.
4. Quit jumping on people for just making a suggestion of looking at the Mac line up.
5. Everyone is entitled an opinion and for me and a few others in this thread we have had better service out if our macs. To us they seem more stable and with less issues. You may have had different experience with Mac and that's fine but don't tell us we are wrong and apparently have issues we don't know about and never see.
6. You are clearly a blind windows follower that doesn't even try to see what other offerings are out there to say Mac users push one button and just waits to see what happens and if what they want doesn't happen they give up is one of the dumbest statement I have ever heard.
7. I have developed apps for iOS and for android to me iOS is much much easier to develop for.
8. MS has lost touch with people and what they want they think they are big enough now to tell people what they want or else. The thing I like about apple is they continue to innovate and offer new features but keep the main day to day operation close to the same so users don't feel overwhelmed like windows has done with windows 8. If you want to use the new features you can but if you don't you can operate just as you always have.
9. Enjoy your windows cool aid because I'm sure none of this has gotten through to you.
