Wondering what's the reason for the three sets of holes for the lower links as well as the offsets for the upper link. Anyone familiar with this Allis Chalmers blade?

Don't kill me for this - I could be wrong - but I believe those holes are for tilt adjust. Hook up to the middle holes all positions for level, and tilt it by attaching to the lower hole on one side and upper on the other side. As that tilts the entire blade, there are the 3 upper link mounting holes that will provide one hole that keeps your top link virtually straight back when you hook up in a tilt position.

By George, that's it! The lower link holes appear to be arranged in a circular pattern about the plows fore and aft centerline. Very clever and it would sure reduce the amount of turn buckle adjustment required to change the tilt. Even the top link bracket is set up this way.

houda thunkit!!! Just when I think I've seen it all.
I think you guys are definitely on to it here. I thought maybe the three lower holes were for different categories (CAT1, CAT2 etc) but couldn't justify the offset top link positions.

You can see the circular arrangement of the lower link positions a bit better here. Imagine the cost and price of producing this feature in today's world.
