I'm curious to know if Jim decided to try Texas ice tilling, and how that turned out if he did.

No ice tilling for this storm, Dave, but I have that idea socked away for future events. My gravel drive looks pretty sloppy right now since I dragged some gravel off with the ice. Let's just say that RD Rancher would NOT approve of my driveway borders. I'm gonna have to do some boxblading to get my feral gravel back on the road.

The outside temperature just jumped to 45 F and the sun is peeking out. Snow/sleet patches won't be around long in this weather. I know all the delivery services will be thrilled to see some thaw. I have a small 32" HDTV to replace the one in my bedroom. It was supposed to be delivered two days ago, but hasn't arrived even though tracking says it's out for delivery. Maybe it and Don's splitter are sharing the same space.

Negotiating skills..... You did get the part that 3 cats went from being working barn cats to freddie freeloader couch potatoes?? And they have free lifetime health care, eat freakin organic cat food. I don't do litter boxes, but that could change!!

it's easy to understand why they would feel it quite appropriate to find the most
comfortable part of your sofa.
If only animals could talk...and not just on the movie set of Babe...

I think this superiority complex comes from the Siamese cats that once roamed the ancient pyramids.
Now they all think they are queens...

Thanks Jim. Not a bad idea to keep in your back pocket though. You would know within 10' if tilling would work well or not.

No ring around the moon tonight. -3*F, clear and very light winds.

The folks that throw darts at the weather map have upped our snow fall on Saturday night/Sunday to 6"-10", plus below zero wind chill. Monday is supposed to be 13* and sunny so that shouldn't be too bad for a snow clearing day if the wind settles after the storm goes through.

I hope not. My delivery status has slipped back to "N/A". I wish they would use a different terminology because I am applicable.

dave1949--Do you live in the woods or out in the open where the wind can get at you? Big difference in dealing with snow impact.

I suppose the extra holiday volume plus the storm, has really gummed-up the works.

I ain't heard the sayings about Freddie the Freeloader in years. That cat would **** in his shoes cause he didn't clean the Box.:laughing::thumbsup:
