There's about $5500 difference in similarly spec'd machines. Am I gaining anything else beyond the backhoe?

Funny, just left the dealers ,looking at BX's.I just went over the specs and the are just about identical.
Two differenct loaders with the same specs.LA243A for the B2370 amd LA240A for the BX25,has to be a difference in boom design for some reason. The BX25D also comes only with the 60 in.mowing deck.
The 60in.deck is an option for the B2370 but no backhoe(at least on their website). The 60in.decks are also different styles.

Interesting I hadn't noticed the different model numbers on the loaders, base tractor weight is about 10% heavier so maybe a backhoe sub frame of some sort as well.

Usually it is the heavier frame and the taller ROPS that is the difference, if you ever think you want a backhoe, you get it now otherwise it is harder to add an aftermarket one later.

The Kubota backhoe is only available as the TLB package, have seen one backhoe on Ebay orphaned from its tractor.

Not sure you intended this but just to be clear... the BX25D does not come with 60in mowing deck but it IS an option. A 54in deck is also an option.

Just to clarify, this is just pertaining to the BX tractors. BHs can be option add ons for the B series and up.
The BX25 is built/sold with a FEL BH so the frame for the BH is built in during factory assembly (most of the additional weight difference plus the BH itself) and not added at/by the dealer like they do for the added BH on the B and bigger series tractors. There is also B series TLBs that Kubota sells and the frame for those are added at the factory and cost considerable more money, they are commercial grade machines. My B has a BH and I took pics at Barlows with the rear wheels off and the BH frame laying beside it getting ready to be installed. TLBs are a different breed and tough machines. I finally bought a BX25 4 or 5 years ago and it is my favorite Kubota. I should have bought one earlier and I can't see MY life without a Kubota with a BH in my tractor building as long as I'm doing more than mowing which I do wit Kubota F mowers and I feel as strong about them for being the best mower available for me.

I have been pricing a BX2370 also. The base price on a 2370 seems to be W/O the FEL, BH, or MMM. Seems like the bare machine is primarily used for mowing and tilling. There is no front or rear hydraulics except as an option. The FEL option includes the hydraulics and it is dealer shop added unless ordered that way from the factory. The dealers here will not add the BH even later as no one will pay the dealer shop price for adding it ($8K). I want one as a companion to my 25 as all the running gear is the same and I need to have two machines operating at the same time doing different tasks. I have the BH on the 25 at least a third of the running hours. I have a price of $14 K w/MMM/w blower and catcher, front and rear hydraulics and front snow plow attachment assembly w/o the plow.

some of this is weird. Its impossible to add a Kubota backhoe to a BX2370. They don't add it.. because they can't. $8000 is some weird made up number. The valve is factory installed under a particular model code, 95% of these ship with the valve. The Front end loader packages does not include the hydraulics, they are part of the tractor.

Messick folks, it is sometimes difficult to discuss this with sales people and easy to misinterpret what they say and/or imply. Maybe you can help me with a few questions I can use in dealing with 2 competing dealers. The K website is vague on these questions. I determined on my own that the 2370 cannot accept the standard BX 25 type BH. Can the 2370 be bought w/o the FEL? Is the front hydraulics available, (same as if you had a FEL) for the future add of a snow plow? Is there a factory kit to add the P, T, PB ports on the rear similar to what is used for a BH on a 25? I would develop my own vave assembly for what ever is used there. I have the same questions for a possible 2670 also. I would never want to put the FEL or BH on the new tractor. It would be used for MMM, 3PT implements (some with pto) and a possible future snow plow (Kubota frame mounted type). I really love the BX25 and have put 1000 HRs on in less than 3 years.

My dealer told me the hydraulics for the FEL were much less costly if added at the factory and they ordered all their BX units that way, even if a customer didn't initially buy a FEL.
