it's not a hard job to rebuild the oe fuel pump up fron ton the gassers, but to answer your question, YES, you CAN install an electric fuel pump.
find the lines to and from the oe fuel pump. one is from tank.. the other is to carb.
patch the pump in with appropriate fuel line, mount it, get power from the run side of the key switch.
if it is an adjustable pump as some ar from 0-7, I would aim for 2-4 psi MAX

An electric fuel pump can be powered through an oil pressure switch. No oil pressure and she shuts down.

the oil sender on that ford is basic open at 6psi type job.. closed when off.

can't get to what? please be more specific? nothing says you have to REMOVE the old pump.. just rehose .. and leave the old pump in place.

Think he is saying he would like to put OE pump on but can't get to bolt to take old pump off , so is going to by pass with electric pump to keep running for now ??? At least I Think that is what he means , but We all know what Happens when I Think :thumbsup:

either way. he can run electric till he repalces oem.. gravity of the holley didn't work well. gravity on a zenith may work better.. simpler carb...
