Hi everyone. Been along time since I've posted because the B21 has never given me problems starting. I searched the forum and tried everything. I changed the fuel, blew out all lines etc; I have fuel coming out of the injection pump bleed nut. When I pull the rubber lines Running to and from the injectors I have fuel. I do not have it when I crack the nut on the top of the injectors. I've been at it for two days cranking it over, charging battery, etc. still no fuel, not even a puff of smoke out the exhaust. I thinking it is the stop solenoid. Stop solenoid has two wires. Not sure how to check it with a multi meter so I tried to pull it. I can't get the inside bolt loose what a lossy place for a nut! Pulled the ignition switch cleaned all contacts still nothing. I pulled the fuel pump and cleaned all lines. Still no fuel at the injectors. What are your thought and recommendations?

It may be that your fuel lift pump is not pressurizing the fuel enough to force it into the injection pump. Maybe the diaphragm in the pump is shot. Not sure how common that problem is.

To check the fuel cut off solenoid:
Resistance from terminal one (white) to terminal two (black) should not be zero nor should it be infinity. If it is either, it is faulty. It should be around 15 ohms.
Same for terminal three (red) resistance to terminal two. It should be around .4 ohms.

Another check is to remove the leads to the solenoid. Connect battery + to terminal one (white). Connect battery negative to terminal two (black). The solenoid should activate.

The fuel cut off solenoid should "click" on when you turn the key on....
and click off, when you shut it down, 5 or 10 seconds after shut down.
Use a test light to see if you have power to the solenoid with the key on.

When I pull the rubber lines Running to and from the injectors I have fuel.
when you say you have fuel, is it spurting out or just a drip, here and there.
You should have "plenty" of fuel coming out.

I checked the solenoid. It only has two prongs. I get 0, switched prongs and still 0. So solenoid is bad. I'll try jumping it from the battery next. When I had the fuel pump off I was surprised just how little it moved but it need create suction.

Any ideas on how to get to that back nut on the solenoid off. Special tools?

Ok, pulled the stop solenoid and it started right up and runs fine. It appears the solenoid is stuck in the out position. How can I isolate it to the solenoid and not an ignition switch problem? Or is the solenoid dead?

I think you have been told the answer to this in post #3.

Yes I did. What I didn't say was the issues I was having with my multi meter. My reading were all over the place after showing zero. So I was not trusting the meter. Plus I have only two wires not three. Anyway after changing the battery on my meter I did end up with zero. Need to test the solenoid off the battery to make sure. But how do you test the leads from the ignition switch just to make sure it is not defective.

I like to thank everyone for your help.

Pull the leads from the solenoid. Measure across the leads (red to black). Look for battery voltage when the ignition switch is on.
