Hello everyone,
I have been a long time reader first time poster, Anyway to get to the point I have a 2002 Mahindra 2810 shuttle and the starting began to become intermittent a few months ago I kept checking everything trying to figure out this problem jumping between what I could find online and what I could identify on the machine. The machine will now do nothing and I am only hearing a click after the ignition is released from the full on start position. Prior to that I would have to keep turning the ignition back and forth until I would hear a clicking noise that sounded like it was coming from the lower left area of the machine as I was sitting on it. My apologies if I have started another thread on an issue that has already been addressed but I could not find and answer that dealt directly with my issue. I am thinking along the lines of the neutral safety switch but I know there is a lot of expertise here so I was hoping that someone would help me not buy a lot of unnecessary parts. Thank you,

I would start by cleaning the battery terminals if you haven't already

Just a bit of advice: Try to never buy parts unless you know or have verified that is what the problem is. Bad guessing will almost certainly cost you more time and frustration than having it professionally repaired.

Check some basic things and please report back here. As advised above, check/clean the battery terminals. Also, I'd suggest two things: fully charge the battery; make sure to check/clean where the negative cable bolts to the frame.

Similar scenario with my 5530. Battery is six years old. Checked battery with battery charger it indicated full charge. Took out the battery and had it tested for amps. Store cleaned the posts and then tested which also showed full charge but failed on the amp test. Stuck in a new one - good to go.
