Snow still in forecast 2 to 5 for my area more if it does not start as rain UTV before this very warm temperatures this morning with high close to 70 but becoming very windy not really ideal for shooting tar and gravel but we shall see.

For all my gas motors use gas without ethanol higher price but less problems. Also in October start using sea foam, guess we've been lucky so far

Paid $5.25 per gallon with my new delivery company. $6.85 per with Hawaii Gas :(

David Sent from my iPad Air using TractorByNet

Hello David, we only use Propane for our On Demand Hot Water and I have two 100 pound (23 gallon) tanks that I haul to the hardware store in town and they fill one for $69.00 so that is $3.00 a gallon.

Looks like he's cutting some ash and has a short bar on it ... 16" maybe ?

That one is a little older than mine (you can tell by the lettering on the nameplate) ... but a good bit cleaner.

IIRC, mine has electronic ignition ... don't think the older ones did.

RS, I just can't believe you left your nice chain saw outside in the rain.
... the rain ?

LOL ... it spent last winter over there ... it's been MIA for probably over a year :D

Looks great too ... considering (for as old a saw as it is ... 30 years ?) ... it's all that oil ;)

Now if my wood splitter frame would just magically turn up I'd be all set ...

in case it doesn't start, here's a little how to for you:
Well, after I fixed the recoil spring (it really needs a new one) and threw some fresh gas in it, it started right up after a couple pulls :D

Compared to my nephews MS250 this thing actually has some nuts ...

It was put away ... in outdoor storage, right next to the log pile where I'm going to use it next ...

Coffee has finished brewing. 60° (Cincinnati, OH) with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 60° (Nashville, TN) with wind and some sun. Should be a interesting drive with wind gust predicted over 50mph.
wngsprd, Seafoam may be your best friend for a gas problem.
Good Morning All.

My 031 was purchased in 1972. Still runs like new. But I have never stored it outdoors. :confused2::D

I do not have a clue what UTV is doing in there, spell check I suppose. We filled up two one hundred pound tanks Friday but do not remember costs. Rain is over but it was a nice one and we are dry, pond is down over a foot now unusual for fall

The 031 was a great saw they do not make them like they used to. For some reason I seem to say that alot now.

64 heading to 77 and windy and drying out. Last night we had a real house shaking wind and rain come through.

I guess this warm weather is my invitation to complete my caulking and painting, but too windy for the sprayer.

Buppies, out forecast for Wednesday night changed from rain/snow to snow, like you predicted.

Good suggestions and info on the splitter engine.
Thanks,
Billy

Ron,

Glad yours is still running well. Mine was purchased sometime in the mid 80's ...

Hard to say exactly what happened ... I may have gotten distracted by something or it may have been in the loader bucket and inadvertently gotten dumped ...

I was sure the last place I had had it was over by the barn ... where I took down several ash trees ... spent considerable time looking for it in various places ...
