So I was clearing up snow early yesterday morning and ran over a garbage net that was hidden under the snow. Just up loaded this video of the situation and the resolution.

I noticed you have an actuator for your deflector. Where did you get the parts for that? I also live in Newfoundland and I'm having trouble finding cheap parts to do the same thing. Also,looking for cheap parts to make a chute rotator.

Dan, I got that linear actuator at Princess Auto. Cost about $70. It replaced the original actuator that came with the snowblower from Kubota. I made up a video on how I adapted the new actuator (different size and different stroke length) to the chute deflector. You can check the video out here http://youtu.be/6AJ-86hcvTU

I notices the netting was kind of close to the auger after you finishe and were testing out the drive. Glad it didn't find its way back in!

Bob looks like you got lucky that the net didn't do any damage . I would have thought most people in town had the plastic containers for garbage . I still use the net also but I am going to have to break down and buy the container . I got tangled up in one last year while on my bus run . Didn't realize it till I got home and saw the net hanging down . I was also lucky that I had no damage done as well .
