28 degrees, going up to 37 today, and I am amazed that part of my driveway has already dried off. Pools of water everywhere but thankfully it remained a rain event here. Just...should be some nice icy roads out there this morning; I'll go out this afternoon.

good news looking at the long range forecast here. After tonight's dip, there are no more nights below freezing in the forecast. All those flowers sitting inside Lowes waiting for some adventurous person to put them out and hope they
don't get frozen...

when I get back from PA next week I'll recheck the forecast and if still stays above freezing, I'm headed for those flowers too. I've been trying to stick with perennials but the annuals are like colorful easter eggs here just for awhile...
Have a lot of daffodils and tulips planted, if the tulips get chomped, might have to rethink how I plant and use more fencing I guess. I like my venison medium...

Good morning, a chilly -4F here this morning, predicted high of 23F with 1" of snow. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead this weekend for those on Daylight Savings Time.

-5F overnight which tied the record low for the date set in 2007. Sunny & -1F now headed to 24F. The average low-high for the date is 18F and 40F.

I saw a mouse yesterday in the tractor garage so I set some traps. Have to see if I got lucky. I hate mice in the garage.

All of my wild plum trees HAD blooms on them. The wild pigs will be disappointed in May when they search for fallen plums.

Since I have dozens of pigs running around now, in my pig sanctuary, by May we will have - hundreds! These pigs multiply faster than my neighbors can buy bullets.
The other day I was chasing a herd (to the neighbors property) with the golf cart and Whipper, my pig dog, was helping me, I kind of felt like Eric and his sheep dog. Whipper was very concerned when she rolled the last piglet and it let out a bunch of screams. She needs to lean not to be so sensitive.

As far as the weather looking for more cold spells in March then April and May to be stormy and mild. I would not put my snow shovels up just yet
