Tractor
none yet
I found a 2004 tc29da with 800 hrs on it very clean well maintained tractor. It comes with a 14la loader and a 72" king k utter finish mower. The tractor also comes with 1 set of rear remotes. I gave 13000 for it. Is that a good price or too much? The only thing it doesn't have is a Skidsteer attach. I would like to add that, where is the cheapest place to get it set up for that. Everywhere I look it seems to cost around 900 for conversion and bracket. Does anyone have other suggestions? I haven't picked it up yet so no pictures. Thanks matt

I think $13,000 is a very solid (good) price for that tc29da. (I'm assuming it has been well maintained and is not beat-up).

Yes it seems to we'll maintained. The only problem with body is the left fender is cracked where the ROPS bolt through. It is still very solid though. I'm excited to pick it up hopefully next week. What about the ssqa adapter? Is that price the going rate. I've been looking at tractors all winter and I found a jd 4310 at a dealer and this one from an individual I hope I made better choice. Both of them seem to be about equal capabilities wise.

I've also been looking at ls and massey. I just felt older used gives more bang for your buck. I just like the color blue or red.

In my opinion the New Holland "TC" series of tractors are among the best produced by any manufacturer in the past 15 years. (By the way the "da" designation indicates that the machine is a "deluxe" version, whatever that means.)

Well engineered, strong, reliable. Good parts support from New Holland.

Regarding the SSQA adapter, I can't help. My primary tractor came with this feature and I've never priced this option in the marketplace.

Regarding Massey, they have a great reputation as well with excellent parts support.

And, regarding new vs. used, I can see both sides of the coin. If you want "bang for the buck" new I'd encourage you to look at the following brands: LS; Kioti; maybe Mahindra. Also there are still some new Bobcat tractors (Kioti clone) in the market place at blow-out prices. You might be able to get into one of these brands for as low as $15,000 + / - for a 30 horsepower rig. If you find a $15,000 - $16,000 new machine it would be my first choice for you. Peace of mind, warranty, pride of ownership, etc.

I've compared several different brands and think you are right as far as kioti, ls, mahindra being a good value compared to big names. I like the fact that you have good choices and it is fun doing the research. I guess it boiled down to extra features and a strong name.

I have a 2005 New Holland TC29DA that I bought a couple of years ago with 400 hours on it. Mine has the 14LA loader toolbox, Grille Guard and a brand new 68" bucket with SSQA and turf tires. The dealer had it on the books for $17K and I offered $9500 since it had been sitting on the lot about 10 months (only time it had ever been outside. Dealer showed up with it at 5 A.M on Sunday morning on his 388 Pete for $10K and $500 for the tax. That fender you are talking about is $1100 to replace and the hood if you break it is $3400. I will try to post a pic. My attachments include New Holland 310 GM and Woods PRD7200 lawn mowers and New Holland 918L flail.

I don't know where you are located but around here you stole that tractor for that price. I'm not really worried about the fender because I could take it off to repair if I feel froggy. I've restored two cars and a couple of old simplicity mowers in the past.

I have also been looking for a different tractor and I found a TC 29 with loader industral tires and rear remotes. It is a 2010 and has rear remotes on it. They want 16000 for it. It is on a dealer lot and has been there for some time which makes me a little concerned about why it is still there. As far as the other brands mentioned goes they won't work in my case as the nearest dealer for them is over 70 miles away. I have a White 31 HP now and the reason I am changing is I am tired of trying to find parts if I need them. So far I havn't but that may change someday. The only brands I would buy in my case is green or blue

Are you sure it's a 2010? I thought they quit making that model in 2005.
