Good morning all. 32F and snow   :confused3: this morning although not enough to get the pavement wet. Tree guy showed up this morning, and just about done 2 hours later. I will have a good chunk of the clean up. That and a ride will keep me busy today. Today's high is suppose to be 44F

Looks like a great place to relax with lemonade.

Is it within wifi distance? Or would you have to actually read one of those old fashioned books? :)

66°F and 1.1 in rain last 24 hours

Already in town. Had to buy replacement water pump at HD. Now breakfast with wife. Then back home, fingers crossed that fittings from old pump match up with new.

Be safe
Have a great day

Geez, Now I have to unload the truck, I was just about ready to leave here.

I thought it was an interesting coincidence since you have told us much about your area and productive gardening.

That was an interesting process of reducing it down to the best county in the country if we ever go REM {it's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)}.

We are an hour from the Gulf, five minutes from the river, Ten Mile Creek or our pond. I'm 20 minutes from Marianna, which is as big a town as I want to have to deal with. We do have just about everything a person could want. Except for well paying jobs. But I guess if we had those there would be too many people here then, and it wouldn't be as laid back as it is now.

Debating on what to amend my garden soil with. Mushroom compost, cotton seed meal, turkey compost? Trying to keep the cost to a minimum. My garden is about 20' x 60' and full of weeds right now. I have only been able to plant some onions and strawberries so far.

Mushroom compost is highly rated if you can get it at the right price.

Turkey compost - depends how well rotted. When I was a kid we went fishing in a mill pond with a turkey farm alongside. If the wind was in the wrong direction after they had cleaned out, you could have that bankside all to yourself for weeks.

Best compost we ever had was spent hops from a brewery. Can't say the plants grew any better but the smell was always something to look forward to.

The ladies of the Lexington Garden Club use Mushroom compost from Madisonville. - 35 miles from your work - Here is some discussion and info on it. Maybe available at Walmart also. ??

The swing is not in wifi range.

The 20 year old swing was repaired, painted and rehung in the once sand pit now a reclaimed park area. The grass seed has been planted, just waiting for a good soaking rain.

When you said yesterday you were going to hang a "Red swing" I wondered what kind of swing that was (remember I'm still trying to learn US English). Thought it may be an adventurous rope swing for Red Necks. Anyway, not wanting to show my ignorance too early, I was waiting for the picture.
Now I see ... :duh:

When we still had the mushroom farms in Quincy, the mushroom mulch was about $10 for an 800 pound scoop at the Farmer's Co-Op. The farm has gone out of business now, so I don't even know if you can get it around here anymore. It was good for growing, but man did you get the weeds.

Cold here, got a dusting of snow. The sun did come out later, so it's not real bad. I really want spring to get here!
