A front end loader will be more versatile if you have one.
I've never used one.

A front end loader and a silt scoop are two very different pieces of equipment.

Had to think about this for a moment. Yep, FEL and silt scoop are the most different pieces of equipment that can possibly be.

Yep, we call them pond scoops in South Carolina. I bought a good one at a machinery auction.
