instead of "taking it easy" I of course decided that half of the lawn needed mowing before I left tomorrow, so I mowed and trimmed the front half of the property. Pushing a trimming mower in ditches in this heat became a bit much. I could feel myself getting flushed and my pulse slowly increased and oh yeah, time to come in. Nice long shower and a half hour rest and i feel great.
About a five hour drive to my friends in Milton DE tomorrow. Our plans were to go to a car meet Sat afternoon, but their forecast is 94 also. Uh sir, would you please not drip on the hood of my SS396?...
well, at least this time there will be a memory card and batteries in the camera anyway.
I plan on listening to the rattle of the ac vent for the rest of the day. While Farmer and Buppies and other hay gatherers are out sweating away.
Pulled the trigger on my new storage garage yesterday after meeting with the contractor. Full pre-engineered metal building but all I can afford is a shell, but an insulated one with high quality electric insulated doors at least. Anything more inside I'll have to do myself.
Realized I'd have to move the building at least five feet further away from the existing barn. Did a test with the Kubota with the FEL on front and the mower on the rear and I could not easily make the swing coming out on the barn side. A little more room will help. I measured a need for a 17 foot concrete apron in front of each door, so basically I'm buying a lot of concrete, an insulated shell, nice insulated electric 12 foot doors, and electric. I consider that a good start and Rome was not built in a day. And I have a beer budget on this, but somehow the beer now costs as much as champagne...

no hvac, no water, but stubbing in the utility connections for later.
barn red with Clopay tan doors. I just cannot do white white doors; want to tone down that red/white contrast.
now off to do nothing. Hmmm, 4pm, it's Miller Time.
