Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #36,101
once again you are making too much noise getting up Roy and here I am too...;)
actually all the meds had me asleep pretty early last night so no wonder I'm up early.

And yes, thank you, my puffy hand is now less puffy, thankfully. I think another day and I might see my knuckles again.
Calling first thing this a.m. to make an appt with my pcp to get an epi pen. Also told the other two siblings who don't have allergies that now two of our three brothers have a bad bee reaction, so for them to be careful too. Number of issues, bad backs, hay fever, clearly passed on through our family. So this might be one more. Both times in the last week when stung I have felt the sting long before I saw the bee so not much I can do. If they bite/sting first and ask questions later, well...

The family doctor who delivered me and my siblings a long time ago died from just two bee stings, and after immediately being given an epi pen injection. The good doctor played bridge with my parents for decades. Real shock to our family and sure brought the danger of bees home to us.

another hot day today, heat index up to 107. I got several of the magnetic strips installed yesterday in the barn woodshop but it was up to almost 80 in there, and I was feeling woozy from the pills, so after putting up the second one, i decided to come back when it was cooler this morning. Not sure that old a/c unit in there is going to cut it. I think it's an 8k unit and I probably need a 10-12k one. It runs pretty constantly but at least that keeps the humidity down.

have a great start to your week.

We have plenty of mole hills, but I don't often see a mole. Dog occasionally hears movement below ground, or sees a movement in a mound of soil, then lies in wait before pouncing and digging down, always in vain. This morning we came across this expired one on the surface, quite a way from the nearest mole hills that I could see.

If the weather holds I am off to "Rectory Meadows" to move bales this afternoon. Should be interesting, it was the site of one of the main WW2 listening posts.

Belated birthday greetings Kyle and hope you have many, many more to look forward to. Sorry I can't do animated greetings like bakerg, I did like his Tweetie Pie message .

73 with it going to 87 and a 60% chance. Have to build a fence in town today, even if it rains. This week is booked up tight and I don't anytime later to do it. Taking my best posthole digger with me today... a 32 yo school teacher that wears her "Daisey Dukes" well. She is a good kid and the hardest worker I have.

Poured first cup of coffee. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with mix of sun and clouds. Got tractor and rotary cutter greased. Took out in field to make sure all was good. 4 hour later checkout was good and both fields cut. No bad insect bites. But sinuses are not cooperating with me today. Need to work on fence repair today.
Drew, glad you hand is getting better.
Good Morning All.

73 heading to 95. Another heat advisory in effect around here.

Hope you had a great birthday, Kyle.

Vt - I bet it was loud with 5 kids!

Been working on my JD mower again. Replaced the front axle last month, and the right wheel spindle...now need to replace the left spindle...should have done both, but trying to be thrifty. Unfortunately, the opening of the wheel hub is stretched/worn a little on one side, and the bearing won't stay in tight on that side. Anybody know the how to tighten the opening?

Good morning all, 61F heading to a beautiful 81F. So much for a relaxing day on Sunday, went to son's place and mixed up 35 bags of cement in a wheel barrel and poured a pad for is little garden shed. Good thing his backyard is shaded.

Good morning! 74˚ heading to the high 90s. No rain for 22 days and the yard is turning brown in this heat. Time to look for the sprinkler.

Drew, 8 years ago a local beekeeper, a fellow VFD firefighter and friend out here, was killed by bees after just 11 stings when he tried to move a hive from under a house. I alway wonder if it was some of those africanized bees and if they have a more potent stinger.
