Good evening all. 71F this morning sunny, light breeze. Made it to 94 or 95F. Yesterday clouded upafter I posted and was not forecast actual high was 86F, and skies cleared back off allowing for the cool start to the day. Day got interrupted by trip to town, so worked on Vue this afternoon. It is now clean except for windows. Swapping out living room electrical receptacles moved up for granddaughters visit, got 2 done today, have to get longer screws one of the boxes is set back too far :( .

Had to move the bull, he is in love with my mare... she is in season. Of course he could walk under her because of size differences, but hormones are what they are.

Kev, instead of moving the bull, had you thought of hiding the step ladders ?

We must have some good hay this year. The sheep, not satisfied with a flush of fresh green grass, had jumped a section of slightly squashed fence to get into the hay barn. I cleared them out and made good the fence, but dog was still barking at the last bales to go in. These bales had been put down in a hurry when the rain was coming, leaving a lamb-width gap some 14' long with bales stacked above. Sure enough, at the end of the hay tunnel was a white fluffy thing. I left it to see if it would come out on it's own while I had breakfast, but nope, it would sooner die there than oblige a human. Time to get down on hands and knees, crawl in, grab it by the back legs and drag it kicking, but thankfully not screaming, back out. My knuckles lost a bit of skin but the lamb was fine.

Need to get coffee brewing. 65° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 87° with lots of sun. Good day to do some relaxing. Then watch NASCAR.
Eric, not sure if we need pictures of the Lamb retrieval.
Gary, nice pictures of antique tractors.
Good Morning All.

62 with 90 later this afternoon. Nice pink sky as the sun rises.

Gary, looks like you had a fun time with so many tractors.

Cut a dead hickory down yesterday, but the wood was so dry and hard I gave up on sawing logs with my dull chain. Will need to sharpen a couple today and try again.

My wife and I got into a nest of seed ticks on our hike and spent part of the afternoon washing and picking them off. I've never seen so many as my wife's boots had. They are now resting inside a garbage bag after spraying them and into the garbage bag maybe half a can of Cutter. I'll take a peek today and see if it does more than repel the little buggers. If you've ever had seed ticks on you, you know their favorite place to settle in for a nice bite and that's no fun.

horses.jpggood morning all. Quiet morning, might work in my woodshop a bit. Then the lawn needs mowing so there goes my afternoon.

I greased the mower yesterday and then cut firewood for about an hour. That sure worked up a sweat. Echo 450 chain saw started right up after sitting awhile, probably due to canned gas in it. When I use it more, I normally make my own gas. Lot cheaper. Used the press down lubricator for the front of the saw blade and the chain really flew after that. I have some big stuff over 24 inches that I need to cut with the large Echo 600 but I was hoping my fireman helper might do that for me. That larger saw sits too much, really needs to be used.

Going to hit 90 today. Definitely going to enjoy coming inside after finishing the mowing.
I want the remote with the button that says Lawn Mowed

My next door neighbors spent the day on their new boat anchored out near a sandy beach and were sure treated to a nice sight of wild horses walking by.

66 right now, heading to 88 today.
Finished the lawn yesterday...didn't get to the field though.
Wifey did my laundry, hung the clothes outside (we're waiting for a replacement dryer to be delivered) just in time for a downpour.
As far as today...maybe the field...maybe just lay about.

Eric, you have my admiration. My Dad loved sheep so growing up with his little herd, I swore I would never raise. They were destructive, stupid, stink, the wool itches, loaded with ticks, don't like the taste. Maybe that is because it was my job to cut tails and castrate. Just my personal opinion.:laughing: But then I know people that would not own Haflinger's or Zebu's let alone Mytonic goats. And that is what makes this world go around. My hat is off to you Sir.
