If Minnesota gets all the moisture many of us are going to get, they'll have ten feet of snow.

Starting to rain here so didn't feel like heading back to the barn, too much to do inside, but the new shed appears to be done, metal finished today. Next week when things quiet down (for me) I'll get stone delivered and landscape the area, and then start moving equipment over and planning my rolling jigs. Finally...
Diesel tank on order, one month eta.

Got the leaves blown this morning, nice to get some fresh air though rain was threatening. Also wanted to run the Gravely in this damp weather, or the points will stick from lack of use.

Is a paint style horse just a pigment issue or is this an adaptation and a different breed?
Say for blending in better in an arid country. Horse version of camo...

Still working on the three white horses mystery, isn't there a song about three white horses, maybe that will lead to clues?

When I was young there was a program on tv about white horses - it was just about the worst dubbed program at the time, aimed at the girls, although there was a horsey program that was ok for the boys.

R_Walter - At first I was thinking that's quite warm for 15 inches of snow, then realised your temperatures will be in Fahrenheit (we are mostly in Celcius), brrrr you must now be in proper winter weather mode.

Temp was normal, prescribed amoxicillin and terramycin for the upper respiratory/eye infections which he said is pretty common in young kittens, checked for ear mites - said there were none and maybe our treatment had worked very well ... but it could possibly be a yeast infection (which is common apparently), said her (she is a her) coat looked good, and she had a nice personality ... despite by jabbed by a needle three different times, including where the assistant was drawing blood and hit the vein, went right on thru and had trouble finding it again ...

Vaccinated for rabies, feline leukemia, feline AIDS, feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia ... booster vaccines in 4 weeks, at which time she'll get her plumbing modified.

And she made the trip over and back (hour each way) in the cat carrier without so much as a whimper ...

Mostly Drew it is a breed, you can google pinto / paint horses to see the differences. Mine is a "Pinto" APHA registered. Basically Pinto is a breed, Paint is a color

Farmer, you asked about saddles and yes I could give an 8 hour lecture on the types of saddles. Also wondering if you figured out how to use the pto with out flipping the seat. PM me and I will tell you what I did, and it doesn't void the warranty

Good morning. Well, Dog gave me another of his "Why we getting up so early, it's still dark" looks, then sat down as I opened the door.

"It's the same time we got up yesterday and the day before" I tell him. He gave me a "dogs have no concept of time, at times like this" blink, stood up and considered his options. Reluctantly, he walked outside at the slowest pace a dog can do and sat down again. I closed the door and took a few quick steps, doing my best to fake enthusiasm for a bit of early morning activity. "Come on, lots of dogs love getting up early, some even play Frisbee in the dark ". The attempt at being cheerful, on another drab but at least dry morning, brought no response. Finally, Dog decided to move, but only two steps sideways to piddle against the nearest wall, then back and put his paws on the door, while looking over his shoulder to see if I had at last got the idea that today will be a slow start day.

So we went back inside, I made tea, had a bowl of porridge for breakfast, then thought I better go do my rounds. I asked Dog if he was coming too. This time he flew outside at breakneck speed and couldn't wait to get to the sheep. The sun was coming up and it felt like a different day entirely. Think Dog got it right for me, wonder what he would make of Roy and Kev's early rise.
