Good morning!!!!

Today is not my birthday, nor am I sick, so hard to explain why my wife got up early and brought me a cup of tea. It could just be love, or is there more to this that I haven't yet cottoned on to ?

Eric, if it wasn't my birthday, I wasn't sick, and I had a partner that thought well enough of me to bring me a cup of tea, I think I'd be content to just count my blessings. Assuming, of course, the tea was decaffeinated and came with just the right amount of honey!

Don, why do you need a counter balance? Granted I use a spear and not a heavy grapple but my tractor is much smaller and have no problem moving, unloading, stacking, or feeding round bales.

Good to know, these just look heavy. Are yours "Texas Size" or "Florida Size" round bales? :D

Kyle, did the kids do the Zip line at the camp?

Eric, be afraid, be very afraid!

My head elf helped me last night get things ready for tonight's party, and a serious toothache that was threatening to send Santa to the drill has thankfully sort of disappeared, so all systems are go. And it's cold enough to make a fire later this afternoon which I am really looking forward to. Going to be a busy but fun day; tomorrow hope to post some good pics of me playing Santa.

hope you all have a great weekend. Ho ho ho

Looking forward to the pics, Drew. And if that tooth ache comes back, don't forget about Granddad's Crown Royal cure. It's perfect for celebrations, and helps calm Santa's nerves.:laughing:

Good Morning! 42F @ 7:00AM. Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High around 50F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Here's our long range outlook for the next few days:

the first in a series of Pacific frontal systems will continue
to bring rain and mountain snow to northern California today.
After a brief break in the rain and snow tonight... another
winter storm is expected to spread over northern California on
Sunday. The wet pattern is expected to continue next week and
into Christmas day with weather systems moving through the
north state every one to two days.

That'll make it tough for those planning to travel through the mountains for the holidays, but hopefully these storms will start putting some rain and snow in the water bank.

labhaven and om21braz, :welcome:

I've gotten good service out of my Woods box scraper, too, Roy. Good luck with your sale.

Working a tricky programming problem for the motorcycle club web site, and between learning a new language, unclear business rules, my limited SQL skills, and being more than a bit rusty, I'm only able go at it a few hours at a time before my eyes cross and guacamole runs out my ears. It does remind me of my days as a developer, and that those were some of the most rewarding times in my career.

Hope everyone enjoys a warm and festive pre-holiday weekend!

I guess we just have the little green ones over here. They are only 5x5 weighing between 900 and 1100 pounds. Makes it easier to ship them to Texas where they haven't learned to grow hay in a Hurricane yet. ;)

32 here at 10 am, was colder earlier but I slept in to miss it. sun is shining. started the pellet stove last night for the first time this season.
My wife knows not to bring me tea, I hate it. Guess it's an acquired taste that I missed.
Welcome labhaven
Todays agenda, put up some christmas lights outside, take the kids to a party tonight. Our youth group collected a bunch of winter clothes that they are taking to
the local rescue mission.
Never had a woods implement, but looked at their backhoes, ended up with a new kubota with the BH92.
Wonder what Dave in Maine is up to.

Drew, sounds like a nice party.
Our fire department brings Santa around on a fire truck every year, not sure when he is coming.

27° this morning, 37° now and mid 40's later. Glad this is only for 2-3 days, then back to southern style weather until at least January.

29.6F and overcast with the occasional snow flurry ... no accumulation tho' ...

The Squeak had a pretty rough day yesterday but seems to be on the rebound now. Nothing a few injections of water with the syringe and some tuna fish couldn't fix apparently.

Enjoy your weekend.

RS, I'm sure very shortly your new little kitty will show you nothing but affection, knowing that the expensive doctor's visit where she was lavished with the best of care has made her the great little cat she is.
LOL ... I'm sure once she's back to her old self the attacks will continue ...

Actually, the visit to the vet was pretty reasonable ... which is why I drove the 50 miles (one way) ... just the FELV/FIV test at our regular (now probably ex) vet would have been $75 ... other place $20 ...

Interesting place and an interesting story behind it ... think it's where The Woman had the other two spayed and neutered.

Now just keep her out of the aquarium! My, that could make for some funny opportunities. Cats can fish quite well...
Yeah ... that is a potential problem ...

She's already managed to climb up on top of the 55g tank ... not too keen on having that happen once it's filled with water.

Your shed is looking nice ...

Enjoy your festivities.
