Supposed to be in the sunny south but no such luck rained on us most of the way down but really warm 68 at 1:30 in the morning. Very cloudy and dark here thunderstorms in the offing. Nice break before starting the New Year

Lots of wild weather going on all over the country those in harms way please be safe and use plenty of common sense

The 64 dollar question for the East will it get cold will it snow? Lots of weather forecasters say so me myself I'm skeptical but we are going to stay wet very wet in fact

May go later today or Saturday up the coast towards Mr Drew to look at boat just don't know yet

Happy New Years Eve!

34 this morning and headed to 38 today. Weatherman swears there is this yellowish orange ball in the sky. He keeps calling it a sun and says we might see it today. I'm not holding my breath.

Eric. Interesting read on the bridge move. Had never heard of that. Just hate to see all the history of the old stone bridges disappear. But understand also. We grew up singing London Bridge is falling down. Did you sing American Bridge is falling down? Just doesn't have the same ring. :).

As for today. Will be going to get a load of feed for cows. If the mill is open. Then back to spread rock and unload feed. No luck on trailer yesterday. Do you know how hard it is to find a 12' tilt for less than 2k. All anybody has in stock is aluminum tilt or steel with ramps. They'll all have more in January.

Poured first cup of coffee. 40° with with clear skies. Heading to 64° with lots of sunshine. Not much planned for today. Will fall asleep before the new year. Eric, been to Lake Havasu and visited the London Bridge. Nice resort area that is stating to show it's age. Bridge is still looking good in the desert. Good Morning All.

Great line in Gary P. Nunn's "London Homesick Blues".

A man moved a huge house built in the 1500s from near Manchester, England to Richmond on the James River in 1925...Agecroft Hall.

Now that is a coincidence. Most of the families that lived in the hall were called Dauntesey. I've just been looking at some reloading parts on the website of - Dauntesey Guns

(Please don't tell my wife though, she thinks I'm working hard on farm paperwork ;) ) .

Low 50's, upper 50's later. A cold stretch starting this weekend, then back above normal, if not by much. We have willow trees full of green leaves, looks like March.

Did you grow up playing/singing "London Bridge is Falling Down" like we did here?
Yes we did !

London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down, London Bridge is falling down, my fair lady.
did I get it right? (no I didn't look it up...)
Full marks.

We grew up singing London Bridge is falling down. Did you sing American Bridge is falling down? Just doesn't have the same ring. :).
:):):)

Happy days - When I was little and my dad was fixing his car (it was always breaking down), I used to lay out his spanners (think you call them wrenches) like a xylophone on a rubber mat and play London Bridge is Falling Down on them.

Hey, that must explain why I was so rubbish in music lessons in later years.
When they tried to teach me to read music, all the notes had letters - A, B, C, D, E, F, G - when I was expecting 3/4", 1/16", 5/8", 9/16", 1/2", 7/16", 3/8", 5/16".

29 degrees here. Not gonna improve much. Went to get my license renewed yesterday, didn't realize that this is very busy time of year there, lots of folks trying get things done before year's end. Still, it took about 2 hours, not too bad. Need to check on my neighbor, he was at the docs yesterday, hopefully he will be able to make lunch today!
