My Miller Mig was giving me grief yesterday. The feed wire kept bunching up and I had to re-wire it 5 times but the 6th time it started to work right. I finished the Yahama trailer hitch extension for the garden trailer. The weld looks good after a bunch of grinding and paint. :ashamed:

Why would you be ashamed? Are you a pro weldor? Unless you are, any weld that does the job is something to be proud of. If you're like me, you're much better with a grinder than you are with a welder. I don't mean to brag, but I'm a regular artist with Bondo and a rattle can.:laughing:

As far as the wire feed screwing up, when's the last time you replaced the feed rollers and/or liner in the gun? When they wear out you get the kind of problems you mention. But before jumping to conclusions, how buggered up is the end of the contact tip? If there's a burr over the wire feed opening you'll have trouble, too...

put in a full day outside and am pretty tired. Leveled and rolled the whole area around the little drainage ditch bridge, removed the bridge, laid the pipe, decided it for sure needed some extra support, and then when I was all ready for a load of ABC to come, they called and said truck broke. Maybe tomorrow if they can get here before it rains.

Did a lot of releveling around the new shed, got that area close to where I want it, then I dug some additional small ditches with the tree spade.

You're gonna love all that gravel being down come the next rain, Drew. Not exactly concrete, but it's a heck of a lot better than mud! :thumbsup:

Had a similar drainage ditch at the road side at the old house. The pipe collapsed and the county had to replace it. The didn't mess around. Dug up the old one, re-trenched, put in the new pipe, then emptied about two concrete trucks on it. Then they leveled it with road base and laid new concrete for the driveway. It all came out real nice, and it didn't cost me a nickle! :dance1:

47 this morning and headed to 49 today.

Finish up at the chicken coops today. Then get ready for our long weekend. First a doctor appointment this morning.

Drew. Tile=that thing you're putting in that ditch. Must be a regional name.

The gravel around the walls will provide more support for the pipe than those 6x6's. It can still be flattened. Concrete trucks are hard on everything. I've had 'em flatten tiles with 2+ feet of fill that had been in for a year. Not bad but there's a flat spot inside. Be sure you get the gravel under the tile and packed all the way to the widest point. So you get maximum support.

Yep, same here. Used 100% of my data on first day of new month restoring my new iPad from my iCloud backup of old iPad. Should have done it at night and not used up my prime time data.

I'm fed up with satellite internet, but only real choice I have here.

Why I've been up since 3AM...
