Good morning!!!!

Good Morning. 0840, sunny, 41F with 70% humidity. Forecast high of 54F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 29F tonight. Another heavy white frost this morning. I'm starting to think I live in the Great White North. Well. the great white North Florida anyway. Margie has the day off due to MLK Day, so we are going to town. I still have to work tonight, so it won't be too long a shopping trip.

JFoy, when we built the house 12 years ago we used standard insulation. 5 years later when we did the addition, we used the spray foam. You can tell the difference, so going from almost no insulation to spray foam will be a big step up.

Eric, nice green grass. Almost all my green grass got got the last couple of weeks. Until then it was still looking like it could use cutting.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

Good morning! 49F @ 7:15 AM. Cloudy early, then off and on rain showers for the afternoon. High 57F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

3/4" of rain fell yesterday, and another 0.62" since midnight. Another storm comes in tonight, and it looks like the fawcet will be on and off through the rest of the week. These are warm storms, though, and snow is only accumulating in the high passes. But with the reservoirs so low, not much is going to waste.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Mornin' All!

It was 22 when the dog pestered me to take him out at 6am, and it is still 22 now in the sunlight...

I thought about chopping some more wood with my new Fiskar Axe as my excersize but the wind was so bitter cold I sat down and poured coffee and opened TBN instead... LOL...

Hmmm.... I just tried to use advanced and manage attachments to upload a pic and it seems to not be working.

Regardless I LOVE this Fiskar Axe, I've NEVER split oak with a single stroke before with my old maul, and this is like a hot knife in butter...

Have a great day all!

Be well,
David

7F and partly sunny/cloudy @ 10:30 ... high today only predicted to be 12F ... overnight low predicted for tonight is 4F.

My plecostomus died rather suddenly last night ... not sure what's up with that, as all the other fish seem fine.

Glad it wasn't one of those $400 ones, but only a $4 one ... :D

Stay warm out there.

25 going to only 28 today and windy. Only traces of snow remain.

Eric, I bet the sheep do a good job of fertilizing your yard, too. Do you jump on that trampoline? We used to have one for the boys, but I think I used it just as much. We'd spray the mesh with water in the late afternoon, and it would freeze after sunset---then when we jumped, we'd have lots of tiny frozen beads.

The trampoline belongs to our neighbours. Shame as tonight it is set to freeze, so I could have tried your trick with the mesh. Having said that, they only use that house as a holiday home - and they are away at the moment ...

Got a quote to seal and insulate my attic with spray foam. House is 60 yrs old and has next to no insulation in it. Wondering if it will make that much of a difference. I'm tired of a cold house.

With about 1/3 of the heat being lost through ceilings, you should notice quite a difference once it's insulated, especially if your heating system struggles to put out enough heat on the coldest days.

RS A suspicious fishy death - and not a squeak out of squeak ?

MFW - Fiskars seem to be able to make tools that make you smile. I got a Fiskar's tree lopper as a birthday present and ended up cutting branches half the size they needed to be go in the log burner, just because it was so much fun to use compared to what I had before.

toppop - Well worth that bit of itching to get such good news.

David - Ewesome ?
