Have decided that we want to add a King Kutter 72" Tiller to our toolbox. They are $2400 delivered on EA but there are two different dealers who stock them locally where I can just pick them up. They both sell them for about $1850 but this Saturday only I can get them at one of the places for 10% off - $1665. I am not in a huge hurry to buy this and was planning on just waiting for the right opportunity price-wise. Is this 10% discount probably about as good as I am likely to see? (And yes, I am going to buy this new.)

Thanks in advance for the input.

I just picked up a brand shiny new KK 60'' for 1929.00 out the door from a farm supply store.....

I live in idaho, shipping must be the price difference from your price on the 72'' vs. the 60''

I say do it!!

I got my 60" KK2 tiller at a local farm store 2ish years ago for somewhere under $1,800 if I recall.

So far my only regret is my 60" L3200 just sold & will be replaced by something a bit wider.

I'm planning the same thing. Local farm store is the best deal I've found. Typically, they'll have a %10 or so off sale a couple times a year. $1900 minus any discounts. If I remember, there's a thread in here somewhere where EA explains this very thing, that these stores can provide KK at a lower cost.

Martin, you stated you are in no hurry and waiting for the "right opportunity price wise". What is your deciding factor to determine when you've waited long enough?

Richard -

I didn't want to pay full price - $1850-$1900. Local farm store has one-day sale Saturday good for 10% off everything, including this item. But I didn't know if the 10% off is probably about as good as I am likely to see or not. It I heard a consensus on TBN that 10% off is probably as good as I am going to get - ($1665 - $1710 + tax) then I would probably go ahead and buy it. The 'when' is not so much a question as 'the right price'. I have the cash and can spend it this Saturday or I can spend it in a couple of weeks or months.
