Good morning!!!!

Hi everyone. It's been a while. Glad to see Ed back!
All is not quiet in the Rolex household. Mrs Rolex (known by her Indian name as "She who speaks loudly.") is having trouble comprehending my latest plan.
1. I have a perfectly good L3301 Kubota. We agree.
2. I have a 1947 Ford 2n that is determined to somehow maim me in some way. We agree.
However, our logic differs henceforth.
I wanted to buy a backhoe for the Kubota for around 9k in order to remove a stump in front of my shop that is in the way of building and extension to cover my tractor and implements. Sell implements was her proposal. Nay. I said.
Then rent a backhoe for a week for a couple of grand or so she said.
But that is money that could be applied to a purchase. (Rolling of eyes is exhibited)
Then I see a mint MF135 (that you guys know I've been wanting) and now it's in the "one or the other" proposal from the opposing parties.
I cannot get her to understand that these are for different things.
The 3301 is my main tractor.
The mf135 is one of the best older tractors built and would be a great auxiliary complement to the Kubota.
The 2n is so hateful that I can't sell it to anyone in good conscience.

Then loud words just started because while at the Kubota dealer, I test drove a B26 TLB that "I THINK" would be a perfect answer to most of my tasks.
True, It doesn't have a cup holder for beer cans but I will suffer for my family as one should.

Now I seem to be sleeping on the couch.

Any ideas?

Great to hear from you, I've been wondering where you've been. Hope all is well.

Put some cotton in your ears, and either call a backhoe guy, or go rent one... :)

Go for the stump grinder.

In other news a large fire today that required more than half of the counties fire departments and the Texas forest service. IMG_0733.JPGIMG_0745.JPG

Good evening all. 78F this morning, not as cool as yesterday, wind already blowing 6-7 mph plus gusts. Mostly cleat this morning, some afternoon cloudiness and a high temp of 96F, with plenty of humidity. Bike ride this morning, no nap, and putter this afternoon. Boat is back out of quarantine, town run tomorrow morning, maybe fish or swim Friday :).

Lenny, don't know what to tell you, had an 8N as primary tractor for years, mostly plow and mow, when I mowed with a brush cutter had to use over-run clutch, not so much needed with finish mower. Was always interesting with the oil getting on the brakes, as the 3 acres was on a hill :). Wife hates it when she "needs" to send me to couch cuase there is not enough room for the 2 of us  :confused3:

David good luck with your wood projects, sure you don't want to wait for cooler weather?

Don was the fire issue the hay bales?

up too early, waving to Roy as he heads out.

67 going to 91 today, weather changes, now they call for rain tomorrow and Saturday, and much cooler weather for the coming week, stays in 80's not 90's and for August that's
a relief.

Lenny, it's easy. More tractors and more sheds fixes everything. You can never have enough of either.

Need yo pour second cup of coffee. 64° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with chance of rain in afternoon. Got the field bush hogged yesterday. Then ran lawn mower around outer edges of fence. Need to replace some fence post. But before that I need to run trimmer are it. That should keep me busy today. Also need to pull blades off rotary cutter and sharpen them.
MFW, lot of work.
Lenny, when buying a new couch make sure it is comfortable to sleep on. :D Then get a contractor to come out and remove stump.
Drew, I need new glasses. But all the add-ons are almost as bad as shopping for a new car. So at this time I am not doing either one.
Don, glad fire got put out.
Good Morning All.

69 outside this AM. Heading toward the mid 80's with t-Storms on tap, hit or miss this afternoon. Got the front yard weed whacked yesterday, need to move to the back fence line today. Tried to get an electrician lined up, but their cost is a little high. 200 bucks to come out for the first hour. Think I'll go back to checking wires on each outlet for a while.

Have a great day all. Be safe.

Finish trimming and mowing side field after work yesterday, after work to day trim the main lawn area for mowing Saturday...that's my plan.

Well off to the grind soon.

Enjoy the day all.
