I got a skidding winch a while back, and can now see the benefit of a self-release snatch block. I'm going to have a sheave made, but the directions I have on to make one only has a 1/2" difference between the rims. Can I get somebody to measure the outside diameter of each rim on your sheave?

Thanks.

On mine the large inside rim diameter is 6-3/4", the small outside rim diameter is 5-1/4" and the tread diameter is 4-1/2". I run both 3/8" and 1/2" cable on it.

Gordon - Looks like you have one of the APM self-releasing snatch blocks. I bought one of those as my second block (can't remember the brand of my first). It looks as though you modified yours with a bit of rod just above the pulley. I still need to do that with mine (cost me a cable to learn that lesson).
